Jeremy
Tressel/Frost would be the best thing to happen since Osborne came back to be AD. Quote Link to comment

I'd post snarky comments on Satan and the demons of Hell's message board for Tressel/Frost If it actually turned out to be Tressel as new HC and Frost as our new OC I will seriously be super stoked for Nebraska football again. This would be insane given what just happened. Here we go. Quote Link to comment

olddominionhusker
I have no idea why but I instantly believed TSP from the get go. Just sounded legit and not one of those stroke my ego I know insiders posts. Long live Sock!! Quote Link to comment
AngryHusker88
the.sock.puppet - you're seriously teasing my **** right now...I really hope your sources are right!! Quote Link to comment
hskerprid
Most likely Tressel, with a serious look at Frost as OC. It was just an Xmas wish 2 weeks ago when I made a thread wanting this exact scenario. Maybe that letter to Santa worked! 1 Quote Link to comment
blessed2bahusker
I'm not trying to be argumentative but I seriously want to know why everyone is so gung ho about a Jim Tressel hire? Go ask buckeye fans what they remember about him. What I remember is conservative football to the point of madness. I specifically remember the seat kind of getting warm in Columbus before the whole Tatoo-gate thing because his teams were failing in the big games time after time. Granted I would take the success that he had while he was there in a heartbeat, but he was at the hands-down dominant program in the 4th largest recruiting hotbed in the country. One could argue that his teams, much like Mack Browns Texas teams, underperformed year after year. That's not even mentioning the lack of integrity he showed when he hid knowledge of the tatoos for equipment thing going on with the players. In addition, what makes people think such a conservative football coach, who always ran a ball control type offense, would hire an O coordinator like Frost who would bring in an up tempo style offense. I just don't see it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Jeremy
Talked to a few Buckeye die-hards. They don't want us to get Tressel because then they'd have to secretly pull for us. A lot of them really miss the guy. Quote Link to comment

If he wants Frost he would have him if it were mutual. It wouldn't go down any other way. He would have his pick of coordinators. Period. Quote Link to comment

I just don't see it. Pretty valid concerns I agree. Its a splash name hire but the issues you raise are legit. One thing I will say is that while what he did was wrong i think alot of it stemmed from him being close to his players and trying to protect them and it got out of hand. I don't think he ran a dirty program. But yeah he isn't my first choice by any stretch Quote Link to comment

Plus, what JT hid is what other players get away with now and more people want the athletes to get paid. A lot has changed since JT got busted. I admit, the thought of JT would be pretty sweet, but I question his integrity and feel like it's selling our souls for wins...like Kentucky hoops did. Quote Link to comment
Junior
Tressel is the president of Youngstown state. Do we really think he's leaving that job? 1 Quote Link to comment
