Amac3309
Since we are talking about Tressell. Who are some names he has ties to that could be his coordinators? Not who you want, who are actual coaches tied to him....Tim Beckham at Illinois. He's on the hot seat. He would be a fabulous OC They extended him today Quote Link to comment

Bigred_inSD
Has beckham coached with Tressel before? On Tressel Wikipedia page it says he has.. As has dantonio Quote Link to comment
Amac3309
Tressel is not allowed to coach until 2017 without penalty to the school he working for.Not really they would just have to "show cause" for why they shouldn't be sanctioned for hiring him and he couldn't coach the first 5 games or bowl game, unless it's negotiated out and it could be Quote Link to comment

K9Buck
Hello gents. Congratulations on getting rid of Pelini. As for Tressel, I think he would be great for your program. How about this. Hire Tressel AND Scott Frost to be assistant head coach and OC and have Tressel run the program for a few years while mentoring Frost and then Tressel can retire again and Frost can take over. 1 Quote Link to comment

ColoradoHusk
I know Tressel is a splash hire, but he is 61 years old. That's pretty old to be starting at a new school. I don't think he will be the choice.Snyder is 75. TO only retired because of his agreement with Frank. 61 shouldn't be an issue. I know Tressel is a splash hire, but he is 61 years old. Left out Franky Solich at a young 70.Yes Snyder is old and so was Osborne, but they were also at their schools forever. Tressel would be 61 starting at a new program for him. That would be used against him in recruiting. Quote Link to comment

That will impact recruiting. As long as there is plan and they are transparent with recruits, this potential issue would be minimized. Quote Link to comment
