We graduated 6 Seniors starters so at least that many to fill, but with a presumably clean slate (although I'm sure Riley doesn't completely ignore game experience), how many take that chance to step up and be THE MAN in their position group? 1 Quote Link to comment

Don't know if it was because of injuries but kondolo and price were just bad at times last year, like cotton bad. Keels is a bit of a wild card, don't know if I saw him in a game last season. I like that you gave a nod to Adam Taylor. I think he would've been a solid #2 and gotten a lot of play time if he hadn't been injured this year. I could see Tanner Farmer in the mix somewhere at guard. Maybe the LG spot. And Jack Gangwish might be in there at DE. Also, I wonder any of the DBs we signed last month will see the field as a true frosh—Avery Anderson, Eric Lee and Aaron WIlliams. I think all three are on campus already. Quote Link to comment

If he can get DPE, Westercatch and a HEALTHY Turner on the field at the same time look out!! Not to mention the younger WR's coming in or up. Its taken me a little bit to buy in to the Riley hire but with this recruiting they are doing and past offensive players he had. I am starting to get all gittery lol. Quote Link to comment

However, I doubt he's the starter by year end. I tend to agree with you. I am anxious to see who wins the battle for the starting position at QB. I also think that TA has the potential to be something great with an actual QB coach instructing him. There is a huge difference in practice and decision making during games. NU5XChamps Posted January 31, 2015 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Someone explain to me why JS won't be the starter. He was highly recruited by MR at OSU. All the talk is that we don't have a QB on the roster that would fit what MR wants to run, except we have one of his key recruits from a couple of years ago. Doesn't make sense to me. As for TA, it will take a lot of coaching to get him to stop locking on to 1 receiver. Some guys never get passed that basic fundamental as a QB. I think TA has exceptional talent, but not at QB.
