StPaulHusker
I love that we are sticking with Adidas. It's a good fit for NU And nice job to Eichorst to negotiate an actual worthy contract 1 Quote Link to comment
broganreynik
It could very well be that adidas doesn't expect to sell very many of the actual alternate jerseys though. I have to say, in person, the '97 jerseys are not easy on the eyes. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
When Adidas lost college apparel contracts with Michigan, Tennessee, Wisconsin and UCLA in the past three years, it set up Nebraska to get a good deal. Athletic Director Shawn Eichorst said NU never talked to any other company. But 11 years and $128 million? With two look-in periods that could bump up the money? When the previous deal signed in 2013 was five years, $15.53 million? Nebraska just got three times as much money and Adidas apparel per year at a time when the Big Ten’s full share is about to kick in. How did Eichorst pull that off? Last fall, he invited King to Lincoln. They had what Eichorst called a “long conversation.” “I talked at length about my vision, our vision, our mission, our plan, our people,” Eichorst said. King talked about where Adidas was headed. “He was a believer,” Eichorst said. “I was a believer. We said, let’s come together and do something very, very special. And this is.” OWH Quote Link to comment
Kiyoat Husker
Holy crap! For those who have wondered if Adidas values Nebraska, they just put their money where their mouth is. spurs1990
So I guess Louisville is a more valuable program than us. Guess Allen made the right move Quote Link to comment

This also has something to do with the fact that they've had a really good basketball program for a long time. Lamar Jackson winning the Heisman didn't hurt either. I mean we literally got every dime in our contract for Football basically. (Lie to yourself if you want to say anyone cares about volleyball success.) Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
Yep, Louisville has been very good in football, basketball, and baseball in recent years. Their move to the ACC has been a boom for their athletic department. Quote Link to comment

I also get the basketball thing for them. 2 Quote Link to comment
