True2tRA
I assumed we would have a rough patch today. New coach, new schemes and a very tough BYU team. Nothing horribly unexpected. I am anxious to see how this staff adjusts at halftime which will mean more too me than the first half. Me too. Not typical to open up the season against such a truly formidable opponent. Some first year glitches to work out. I expect them to show up throughout the season, let alone the first game of the year. Anyone who thought we'd come out of the gates and stomp mudholes in people were fooling themselves, and are rather f'ing stupid IMO. Gonna be interesting to see what adjustments are made. Unfortunately, when your offensive linemen can't sustain a run block, it makes your options limited. Tommy has been under pressure constantly as well. I hope he's quicker to pull it down and run, because the way the offensive line is blocking, he's gonna have to. 1 Quote Link to comment
lo country
Anybody else think Bo Pelini is laughing right now? Yes. We would still lose four under Bo, but not to BYU Bo needed to move on, but I still had to google Riley....... 1 Quote Link to comment

FrustratedHuskerFan
Only thing I've learned in this game is I don't believe a fat word that comes out of any of our coaches or officials mouths. What a joke. Quote Link to comment
Timotheus
Mike, Mark, and Danny. It's time to show why you were hired. Make adjustments and get us back in this game. Yeah, maybe...show us something that tells us that you are different from the previous staff. Please? Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
Riley's hotel has been cancelled in the middle of his honeymoon. Quote Link to comment
Hammerhead
This is the fallout from the Pelini era... he and his staff may be gone, but the mentality he instilled in our players still remains... Your joking right? Everybody looks the same to me as they did last year. Once the first piece fell out of place, the team flat out fell apart. Same as they have for the past several years. HuskerInLostWages
Our last few coaches have killed off all of our records previously. At least it looks like they saved one last one for Riley. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Anybody else think Bo Pelini is laughing right now? Youngstown St. lost today. I bet you're right though. A guy that wished nothing but the best for his former players, is probably laughing at them losing a game. It would fit his " say one thing, do another" mentality. 1 Quote Link to comment

Something to make the D pay. TA needs to get out of the pocket. More roll outs. Are OL six right now Quote Link to comment
Saunders
Before anyone panics, remember that UL-Monroe knocked off Alabama in Saban's first year. That game was at the end of the season, and they also went 2-2 against ranked teams, including a blowout win. Quote Link to comment

Could not have been said any better. Not to mention the rest of his cronies he brought in. At the least look respectable. Quote Link to comment
Decked
Need to show some sort of running game. Tommy can't sit back and get nailed all day Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Hopefully MR can do something that Bo could never do - make half time adjustments Quote Link to comment

When was the last time Nebraska lost a game because the other team threw it all over the yard? BYU is doing just that, and we're not remotely playing to our offensive strengths. Quote Link to comment
