Thanks_Tom RR
NEBRASKA'S IDENTITY = POWER FOOTBALL Bring it back in 2016! Riley and Langsdorf do not run a power run offense. This offense is what you get. Quote Link to comment
grandpasknee
So this really shows a total lack of quality depth. There is some coaching deficits for sure...but how many second/third team players were getting experiences these last 2 - 3 years? Zero. Yes, our coaching is horrible.....and has been for years, not just this year. Quote Link to comment
NoLongerN
Here is the blowout loss to a terrible Purdue team that does turn the tide in MR being the future. Both the staff and the players have been a real surprise. I might add, MR has a pass to run ratio of about 2 to 1 and that is with a backup QB. Who wouldn't question that strategy? I would have thought today we would find a way to run more then pass. Nope. Quote Link to comment
Redux
Blown out by 1-6 Purdue... How can anyone defend this? 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerNation1
We need to wait til POB enrolls and gets on campus before letting Riley go.While that is the only realistic possibility, it's a bunch of crap. QB is one component of dozens upon dozens of a team, and literally none (I believe) are working right now. This has very little to do with QB, and thus there is very little PoB could ever do. Say what people want about giving coaches more than one year, but we really need to let Riley go. Pay three coaches if you can, this is unacceptable. I'm not saying our QB is our only issue...we have many. I'm just saying NU hasn't had a true QB recruit like POB in years, so if we would have a new staff, at least we could have a good QB as well. Peoriahusker
There is no way Nebraska can continue with this coaching staff after this season. BRING BACK POWER FOOTBALL IN 2016! Another season like this and NU slips further away into the abyss that is mediocrity. lets be honest...we are at the floor. I mean more of a national perception and hurting difficult recruiting and making it worse or almost impossible. Kind of like OSU's recruiting..... like i said...we are playing on espnU...kids who are in HS have no clue who we are(except Nebraska kid)....and the general college fan has no interest whatsoever in knowing what's going on with our program...at the floor. onlyHskrfaninIL
This season is lost. You fire eichorst after the game and appoint an interim. Basically finish the year out and make major changes after iowa. This crap wont win another game no matter what. Quote Link to comment
Husker_luver
Man, look at that talent. This same talent won 9 games last year. These losses are on coaching. Plain and simple.Ugh, the coaches have a lot to answer for but this is just not true. We had Ameer and Randy last year. Who took there place this year. We should be better than this but this team isn't as good as last years. You guys are really grasping at straws. All I'm saying is there is not as much talent in this team as last year. It's not the same talent, your statement is false. If you want to blame the coaching staff that's fine they've made bonehead decisions to go with bad play calls but are you seriously saying we are as equally talented as last year?
