Enhance
The biggest gripe I have about young Anakin force ghost is that you still have old Obi Wan and Yoda force ghosts. Anakin leads a life of evil as a Sith, has a moment of reflection and does one good deed, dies and gets to spend eternity as young sexy non robotic Anakin force ghost while Yoda and Obi Wan are stuck being old? Totes unfair. Although a young sexy Yoda would have been hilarious. Lucas kinda lost touch with whatnthe fan base actually wanted, so yeah ignoring most his crap was probably a good thing. I do hope they would have at least borrowed some of his vision and altered as needed. It made sense to me that in ghost form he'd be the person he was before he turned to the Dark Side. If there was "still good in him" there should have been no difference. It was just one change I could have done without, kind of an F You to the guy who originally played Vader. Fun Tidbit: the guy who wore the costume was not the guy who was unmasked in Jedi. Edit: Now that I think about it, 5 guys can lay claim to officially playing Vader in one form or another. Not to mention, the original Anakin from Jedi is clearly a much older man which doesn't fit with the timeline of young Anakin becoming Darth Vader. I'm with you in that it was just a little too convenient to bring Anakin back as a force ghost despite leading a lifetime of evil. I love the original three films but they remind me a lot of Nolan's Batman films. The first was good, the second was fantastic and third one didn't live up to what I thought it could. However, Return of the Jedi is a far better movie than The Dark Knight Rises, imo. I'm just saying I think both films took some conveniences. I also am forcing my significant other to watch all six films, but we're not planning to see the new one until Christmas weekend, a little after the crazy rush. I don't think the timeline is that bad. The actor was 72, but Darth Vader should look much older than his age after what he's gone through and the fact that he's gone to the Dark Side. I'm guessing Vader is around 50 in Return of the Jedi. Yeah and it could be a matter of perspective - when I was a kid I went with the notion that 'oh, that must be what Anakin looked like before he became Vader.' But, based on the timeline, Anakin was 22 when he became Vader. So, maybe the Anakin we see at the end of Jedi is what Anakin would've looked like now had he never gone over to the Dark Side. Redux
I think Jedi could have been so much more, but Lucas went a little nutty with marketing towards kids. He didn't learn that lesson in the 90's apparantely when they added even more kid type stuff to Jedi during the re release. My only grip with Empire is the forrest scene where Luke fights his imagination. Quote Link to comment

Ya that's how I see it. I actually liked the change other than feeling slightly sorry for the other guy's family. I thought it was a good tie in to the other movies. But I liked Revenge of the Sith. Redux
There hasn't been an installment of the series I haven't immensely enjoyed. I get peoples gripes about Natalie Portman and or Hayden Christensen. But if you look at the two not as actors, but as what their characters were intended to be, it makes their performance a lot more believable/enjoyable. Quote Link to comment
GM_Tood
Can't believe they kill off Han so quick. With a lead pipe...in the kitchen...Damn you Miss Scarlett! Quote Link to comment

Moiraine
I didn't read the spoilers but you guys should post a non spoilery "review" in the other thread. I was so close to going at the last minute to the 1:20AM showing but I promised some people I would wait 'til Sunday. Quote Link to comment
Saunders
It was good, really well done. It somewhat followed the EpIV plotline, but the way they tied it up left them a lot of free reign for 8 and 9. Also, major spoiler... I'll admit I cried a bit when Han died. I idolized the character since I was 5, read all the books, and he's been my favorite fictional character for 25 years. Even though I had that part spoiled by one friggin image online, it still hit me hard. Quote Link to comment

It cememented Kylo Ren as a villain, you don't come back from that. Quote Link to comment
Bigred_inSD
I know nothing about star wars, but I assume this movie ends the same way almost all movie series do, the way you expected it, but with just a slight twist? Quote Link to comment
