The Tanner Farmer video is encouraging...wrestled, realized he needed to make strides..has gone from 335 to 295 and says he is faster, stronger, etc. Very good vid.

Ok....what happened to Westerkamp?

Pulled his groin and sounds like he'll be out most of spring camp. They made it sound like it was nothing serious and should be fine come fall camp....no need to push him during the spring

 

 

I hadn't heard this and missed this in this thread earlier, so I was a little blindsided by this:

Which is smart because we have a QB (Armstrong) who's more suited for the zone read offense than the West Coast offense they forced down his throat last year.

Good deal. From reports, quite a few huskers have gone there for sports hernias and were ready to go in just a few weeks as opposed to a few months.

Word circulating around the Registrar's offices that Tommy Armstrong's transfer paperwork was lost, and the found a second time, and now maybe he has changed his mind, again, and will now be headed to Ohio State after all.

It only took a year for Riley, Langsdorf, and Cavanaugh a year to figure out how to run the zone read game and how to block it.

What part of the training regimen is missing that makes the players so susceptible to groin pulls? Epply has been asked to step in and help figure that out. Does anyone here know why this is a common theme in camp?
