A man you can bait with a Tweet

Mitch McConnell explicitly threatened to make it a partisan issue if Obama announced the Russians' efforts.

According to several officials, McConnell raised doubts about the underlying intelligence and made clear to the administration that he would consider any effort by the White House to challenge the Russians publicly an act of partisan politics.

Some of the Republicans in the briefing also seemed opposed to the idea of going public with such explosive allegations in the final stages of an election, a move that they argued would only rattle public confidence and play into Moscow’s hands.

Here's an idea. How bout both parties come together and condemn the actions of Russias interference with our elections. You know, stand together as Americans and not parties at that moment. The same way the democrats should if the roles were reversed. BUT no. It was gonna be partisan regardless.

That's what a couple of the pundits are responding with - ok, so Obama made the decision he made. Now why has T decided not to do anything? It's been on his watch since January.

He must of slept crappy last night, this rant this morning was out of place (or not - it is crunch time for the healthcare vote)

Message aside, it would be great if Trump could simply tone down the divisive rhetoric.

"Crooked Hillary"

"Dems are obstructionists"

"Crazy Bernie"

"Fake News"

Every tweet sounds like it is from an interview in a trailer park during election season. I'm not sure what he thinks he is accomplishing with a constant stream of insults.

1. It's hilarious he keeps referring to himself and his underlings as "T".

2. Is it really a good idea to accuse Obama of doing nothing when his administration refuses to even admit this is a problem and works to water down sanctions?

This is the part of anything Trump does that he just doesn't get.

a) He denies the Russians meddled in the election.

b) He claims it is nothing more than a made up excuse for the Dems losing the election.

c) After every single intelligence agency says it happened and Congress overwhelmingly votes in sanctions to Russia due to meddling in the election, Trump works behind the scenes to get them to reduce the sanctions.

d) OBAMA DIDN'T DO ENOUGH TO STOP RUSSIA!!!! OBAMA IS THE BAD GUY!!!!

The heart of the problem is how acerbically partisan the worst of the far right media/pols (and anyone else who lives in an uber-partisan bubble) have become:

It doesn't matter how logically sound or even coherent your argument is. The most important thing is that you bash liberals for everything imaginable. The rest is just details.

A lot, unfortunately.
