No.....just no.....Look, I'm all for working towards a better world where there is no racism and a protected environment.  However, there are just some parts of our world that aren't about that.  This is one of them. Their job is to help manage our economy from a numbers and financial stand point.  That's it.  That's actually a very tough job and it's a cold hard job that has to deal with simple facts.  Those facts don't have anything to do with race and environment.

Economics are inextricably intertwined with race and environment, so the facts aren't completely free of either. Maybe the Fed isn't the right place for policy action, but it's interesting to consider whether it might be. I'll have to look into it more deeply, but at least it's imagining a new approach instead of continuing on the same path.

To the extent to what the Fed does.....no they aren't.  And to think they are shows a total lack of understanding of what the Fed does.

Again, that's not an argument against proposing the Fed be changed (i.e. re-imagined) to include other issues.

And the Fed is responsible for providing stability to the monetary system. From the article you linked:

Quote

“Under his leadership, the Federal Reserve has taken very little action to mitigate the risk climate change poses to our financial system,” said Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Tlaib (Mich.) and Pressley (Mass.), all of whom sit on the House Financial Services Committee. Reps. Chuy García (D-Ill.), another committee member, and Mondaire Jones (D-N.Y.) also signed on.

“At a time when the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is warning of the potential catastrophic and irreversible damage inflicted by a changing climate, we need a leader at the helm that will take bold and decisive action to eliminate climate risk,” they said.

It is because that's not what their f#&%ING supposed to be doing. Nothing about them has anything to do with racial justice or the environment.

This is like telling the fire chief at your local fire department he needs to be replaced because he's not doing enough to help with the price of sausage in Ireland.

You can make the argument that the Fed shouldn't be doing certain things like mitigated climate risk to the financial system or making efforts to reduce racial economic inequality.

But we the people get to decide what the Fed (or any government agency) is supposed to be f#&%ING doing. We don't have to continue to do things simply because that's how they were done in the past. And saying we shouldn't consider changing things simply because that would be change is a hollow and circular argument.

In a Democrat Utopia, every football team would go 6 - 6 and we wouldn't have to be so upset with Scott Frost.

Wrong thread?

While true, you left out the part where Alabama, OSU, Clemson, and ND go 12-0 are at the top and dictating to to others while demanding everyone else is 6-6 and allowing those peons to rotate through the following: Antifa.com Bowl,  she/her/they Bowl, NonBinaryBowl, BirthingPersonsBowl games each year.
