Nothing super credible. Heard the rumor from a person with some insight into UNL’s athletic department that called the Scott Frost move before it happened. Hoping he’s 2 for 2. 1 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
Altman has a bonkers amazing class coming in at Oregon BUT maybe he is sick of Knight, maybe he just wants to come home? Quote Link to comment

I just looked at their class and it is ranked 2nd in the country. It would be awesome to get him, I just don't see him leaving. Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.ssf/2016/11/oregon_dana_altman_agree_on_7-.html Quote Altman will earn a base salary of $1.8 million this season and is due a retention bonus of $850,000 this spring at the end of the contract's first year. Altman would be paid retention bonuses of $200,000 after the contract's second year, and $300,000 after every year that follows. Altman will owe a buyout of $2 million if he leaves for another job before April 2018. The buyout declines each following year by at least $300,000. 2 Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
Here’s one to let sink in for a moment. Utah State has SIX wins in the NCAA tourney. SIX!!!! Quote Link to comment
Huskers93-97
They were talking about the Altman rumor on 1620 this morning. Curious to see where this goes. Quote Link to comment

According to the OWH, Moos is not looking for a new coach & is working on an extension for Miles. Quote Link to comment

Lets put verbiage in there if he misses the tournament next year he will walk away on his own and be owed nothing. Quote Link to comment

See you at the first game next year. Enjoy football season, sure hope Frost wins it all this year or he better watch out. Edited March 27, 2018 by pearljammer Quote Link to comment
ladyhawke
I read in the OWH that Moos vehemently denied rumors of luring Altman here. Would Dana come back to Nebraska? It sure would be interesting but as he was so loyal to Creighton I can’t see it. But money does talk so.... Quote Link to comment
HS_Coach_C
LJS Article Quote "The stability of the program is really important. The last time that Tim had a real good year, we didn't follow it up with another one," Moos said. "It's tougher to stay there than it is to get there many times, and I'm fully aware of that. So I'm really interested in what (Miles) thinks about the stability of the program and what I can do to help him in that regard." I think that's a less than subtle way of telling Miles you need to have a good year next year. Edited March 27, 2018 by HS_Coach_C 1 Quote Link to comment
Huskers93-97
I understand the situation Moos is in. Hard to fire him after this year. Plus we are still on the Scott Frost high- let the State finish soaking up the euphoria for another year. Then once that wears off we will be ready to jump on the next coaching change- I just hope he can pull off a splash hire to actually take this program to the next level. Because Miles is not the guy to do it. Edited April 2, 2018 by Huskers93-97 Quote Link to comment
seaofred92
Moos probably had the political capital from the Frost hire to fire Miles even after this season if he wanted to. I think he probably had his sights set on one to two candidates in particular and once that didn't happen figured it would be best to regroup at the end of next season 1 Quote Link to comment
