I see they perpetuate the use of the term "sexual assault" without the adjective "alleged," further fueling confusion as to what's actually happening. Nice. my gut is telling me this ends up as a diversion situation. Mo has no other issues that we are aware of and given the circumstances with his ex etc I am guessing this ends quietly and quickly. Or it will go as St Paul wants and Mo as well as all of his family members will be thrown in prison for life. 4 1 Quote Link to comment

All I've seen is St Paul commenting that things should be investigated and folks disciplined accordingly. The fact that he's a FB player (and a good one) shouldn't change the outcome or charges of this situation. Would you all care at all about this if he was just a student, or if this was a kid on the golf team? I'm kinda surprised nobody has mentioned LP yet in this thread and the fact that in retrospect TO wishes he'd handled things differently and done better by Lawrence. With him surely counseling Frost I'd be curious if their discussions talk about the importance of not overlooking behavior of talented team members. LPs inappropriate interactions with women and how he treated them was a precursor to a very troubled adulthood. Scott knows of that situation first hand. What they do now as coaches impacts how these young men grow up to be (or not be) responsible adults. (and yes, for those that are going to say I'm crazy for comparing assault and revenge porn my response is that these are different times, and assault is assault and abuse is abuse whether it is by hand or by electronics) 1 Quote Link to comment

This type of "Guilty until proven innocent" mentality is something I would expect from Mother Russia, not sensible "open minded" Americans. 1 Quote Link to comment
husker98
The university did nothing wrong. It would be different if he had been formally charged, but he hadn't during the season. Based off the lack of urgency I harbor some doubts to how well these allegations stick. But if they do he needs booted off the team yesterday Quote Link to comment

As I said before a very bad decision. The real question here is what is appropriate "punishment"? Quote Link to comment

If this was a walk on it wouldn't make headlines, and likely also wouldn't generate this sort of heated debate. It's easy to walk away from a risky player when they aren't destined to be a rock star contributor. And I agree - until we know all the facts, we can't determine appropriate punishment. The debate here has sure been eye opening/disheartening though! 2 Quote Link to comment

StPaul has already arrested, prosecuted, tried and convicted. 4 2 Quote Link to comment
