It's a hell of a bill and a major legislative accomplishment. But of course the Dems did it so the frothy right has to figure out some way to denigrate it. Gotta love partisan hackery politics. Yep gotta love the inflation reduction that will most likely increase inflation according the US leading economists . Gotta love hackery politics. 1 Link to comment

BigRedBuster
Hey....it's a step in the right direction. But.....isn't it so special that teachers get a whopping $300 to deduct. Should be much larger and it's stupid that it's not. 1 Link to comment

And right-wingers want to defund these schools and teachers even more to force kids into private schools where they can be brainwashed. This country has some seriously backwards ideas. 3 Link to comment

Teachers shouldn’t have to spend any of their own money on classroom supplies. But, since they do, there should be no limit on the tax deduction. Teachers should form a 501c3 charitable entity and wash their expenditures through that so they can deduct all of it. 1 Link to comment

Second, since they do, there shouldn't be a limit. It's pretty pathetic. 1 Link to comment

I couldn’t find where “right wingers” wants to force kids into private school unless you are talking about some rando somewhere no one has heard of. By defund do you actually mean allow the money to follow the kid? Like going from a failing public school district to a good public school district so the kid can get a better education? it’s amazing that people on here are against kids attending a good school 1 1 Link to comment

It doesn’t “force” any kid to private school and allows a choice. on a side note…Why not do a search on how many parents in inner city schools apply for these voucher programs. Why are you against school choice for these kids 1 Link to comment

Maybe add $500 per teaching room to each schools budget and mandate that it gets assigned to whatever teacher/‘s use that room and teachers can then purchase supplies and turn in an expense report for prompt repayment? In addition, the IRS rule stays in effect too. Maybe something like that would help. 2 Link to comment
