Went and saw my parents yesterday in NE Nebraska.  
 

Their county elected some MAGA idiots to the county board last election and they have managed to show their stupidity to faithful republicans up there.

 

They are creating issues and costing the taxpayers money and loss of services because they have no idea what’s going on.

 

One example: the they have refused to purchase new road grading equipment the last two years because it’s too expensive.  They don’t realize that one piece is meant to last 20 years and the county rotates on that basis.  They are going to end up with a fleet of worn out equipment and an eye opener when they have to buy 4-5 at a time.

 

Another, the county used to mow ditches for free.  They now want to charge something like $100 a mile if the land owner doesn’t do it themselves by middle of June and September.  They plan on putting leans on property if people don’t pay, even though they can’t explain how they are keeping track.

 

Even old white farmers are getting tired of the stupid…

They voted for incompetentcy. The electorate voted and they're getting the government and politicians they deserve.

I don't think it was being suggested as a problem, but perhaps hope that the maga crowd is starting to realize that the people they've been elected probably aren't the best people to serve their needs in government.

I think the potential problem is that they’ll get bailed out thru some kind of taxpayer assistance, they won’t learn anything or gain any kind of useful perspective or insight, and they will continue to vote for the people that created the problem in the first place. All while decrying the evils of socialism.

special election that is intended to replace them. Both men will likely win back their seats, making Republicans look extremely foolish, all while giving both men a metaphorical megaphone for the rest of their political careers.
