Guy Chamberlin
There were some pretty crazy theories about Bush and U.S. complicity in the attack. In terms of means and motives, they make virtually no sense. A lot of people were simply convinced that Bush knew ahead of time that the attack was coming and chose not to stop it, as it would provide the political cover to go to war in the Mideast, something that Bush's inner circle is on record as advocating. I don't buy that the administration allowed 9/11 to happen, but it wouldn't be far off from a fairly well-supported theory that FDR had advance knowledge of Pearl Harbor, and didn't publicize it, believing the attack was necessary to get the American public to support our intervention in World War II. That is both delusional (on his behalf - he has these great images of grandeur towards himself) and also scary as it is becomes all too true by what we have seen thus far. I guess we are waiting for a lot of apologies from the GOP. Are those forethcoming? When can we expect the presidents apologies for his litany of misinformation? Good to see you are scared for the stupid crap politicians are putting in the internet. Mainly starting from the top. 1 Link to comment

OTHusker
I’m guessing it must be the school system kids don’t even know the basics of American history or our constitution has the curriculum changed that much and if so why? They cant even pass a very basic 5 question quiz same quiz their older counterparts do much better on https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/millennials-patriotic-survey/ Link to comment

OTHusker
2/3 of millenials don’t know what aushwitz is and 22 percent had never heard of the holocaust https://www.google.com/amp/amp.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/apr/12/many-americans-millennials-ignorant-holocaust-surv/ one would think we would want our children to know what totalitarian states and humanity is capable of And how true hate directed towards one race that’s goal was to exterminate them all actually came into being Kids should know this and then understand how Israel came into being when I was in High school we saw films of the bodies being moved by bulldozers i was taught what auchwitz was and never forgot it i was taught the same thing in my American history after 1865 class in college and it made me want to know more about how such a tragedy could have happened- so I read about all the mass murderers and how they came to power hitler, stalin, mao, king leoplodt Amoungst other things thats is when I converted from gun confiscation believer to 2nd amendment supporter Link to comment
OTHusker
I guess it isn’t entirely their fault high schools and colleges have deemphasized or in some cases eliminated history requirements no wonder they know so little and are so anxious to repeat the mistakes of others https://www.goacta.org/news/the-danger-ignorance-of-history-poses-to-the-future-of-a-free-society Link to comment

I would reason to guess much more than 1/3rd of all millenials know about Auchwitz. What you also fail to recognize with your staunch anti communism rant is that some of the worlds best functioning nations right now are largely socialist. Denmark is the happiest country in the world and models many of the 'communist' policies you attribute to liberalism. People can see the difference between North Korea and Denmark. People want to model Denmark. 1 Link to comment

Older generations always complain about the younger generation. Older people love to gripe about the entitled, lazy millennial generation. But it's nothing new – by delving into the archives, we found plenty of parallels stretching back 2,000 years. Link to comment

It’s a real shame people don’t know more about Denmark’s socialism where anyone making over 80k has a 68 percent tax rate danes have extremely high rates of debt and their suicide rates are twice the rate of ours it is also a tiny nation without a huge percentage of immigrants and a tiny defense budget not apples to apples and not the utopia most people think it is https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/oct/23/viral-image/internet-graphic-says-suicide-rate-much-higher-den/ Link to comment
OTHusker
I’m not saying millenials are bad people however it has been my experience and a lot of data out there that suggests they know little of history, economics or our constitution it’s not entirely their fault but it is true just the same like David Hogg said - they know a lot more than everyone else when it comes to programming and using phones or computers But history- not at all doesnt make them bad people just very poorly equipped to solve our nations ills Link to comment
