Was the first string thhaaattt much better than the two’s or were they fairly equal but someone had to be named starter. 

Well, when a lot of the 1st string  talent sports a .300 career winning % here, my guess is probably not that much different

That's a poor stat, but does give some validity that there might not be much drop off.  Of course it's also terrifying that the reason they were our starters the past "X" years is because no one has been able to challenge push them for the starting positions....

At the risk of being a deplorable, it did seem like the line got better with the starting left side out.

Not next year. I'd say relatively soon. It's what coach Rhule prefers.  Just got done installing new artificial a year ago I think though wasn't it...

god i hope not.   the injury bug can take an extended  vacation.   with all the overtime work it has put in this season he deserves it.

Kemp has a chance to play this weekend, though if he does it likely won't be a lot.

 

Nouili also working his way back, though it doesn't sound like this weekend.

Not expecting it but it sure would be nice if we could get up big on MSU early so they don't feel the need to press the walking wounded back into action. I'm sure we'll be needing them in the last 3 games.
