Caliborn72
Honestly wild we gave them their easiest win this year. What a brutal loss looking back. Probably the first real sign the offense was going to be a bit of a roller coaster. 3 Quote Link to comment
Decked
Colorado has now also lost their lone 2024 QB commit. When you’re all bark and no bite.. Quote Link to comment
Husker in WI
I enjoy watching Colorado struggle as much as the next guy, but I'm surprised they got high school QBs committed in the first place. That will be a portal-filled position as long as Deion is there. I'm sure they want to develop a guy or two as the backup, but commits know they are bringing in an experienced QB every time the starter leaves. Why go there when they will be actively calling every starting QB in the portal (and many not in the portal) each year? It may still work at Colorado, but it will not be a place where paying your dues over time is rewarded. They'd take an elite HS QB if they could and were sure he could start, but their HS QB recruiting is most likely going to be along the lines of their 2023 signee - low-mid 3 star you hope can be passable when your starter goes down. They won't do much this year, and then when Shedeur is gone (if Deion stays) they'll recruit every transfer QB they can. Quote Link to comment
Xmas32
I know Utah was running vanilla schemes and was going with the 3 yards and cloud of dust but that Staub kid looked not too bad at QB on Saturday. He did a nice job of getting the ball out quickly. Quote Link to comment

And...I suspect Deon isn't going to be there long enough for them to develop and play for him. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
GSG
The spin by the Deion fanboys is that he's taking a better job somewhere The spin by sCUm fans is that these kids won't be playing right away so it doesn't matter Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
CU got what they needed from Deion - selling enough tickets and such to get the athletic dept out of having to make some deep cuts. Deion winning was always a bonus. It'll be interesting to see what happens next though. Quote Link to comment
