  1. ATTN Coaches in the B1G. Recruit each and every talented kid you can, even if they do drugs, beat women and do illegal things to make your university look bad. Screw morals and tradition. Kids deserve 5th chances. Recruiting ranking is what matters most. Thanks. -Urban D-Bag Meyer

Your missing the whole concept I think zoogies. Urban said he is going to tell the coaches that the conference needs to step its game up in recruiting and how to do that. There is a difference when someone goes or invites someone to speak to a group of person, than someone to act like they are better than anyone else and takes it upon themselves to show boat.

    3. zoogs

      zoogs

I thought the 'concept' was a judgment of Urban / SEC recruiting character, not arrogance.

    4. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

I think he is an arrogant ass. Why, because of how he brings it among himself to speak in front of all these coaches and tell them how they should be recruiting and how their recruiting isn't up to par on his level. Especially when his success this year is off of Tressell's recruits. Just because your recruiting 3 and 4* kids, doesn't mean your not doing your job.

I would call that interference, softball lets defense players block the bag like that?

    3. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

That was interference at 3rd. Plain and simple. You can block the base, as long as you have the ball in possession. Something that was not the case. Two bad calls, this is how you expect it to end. Good job girls, no need to hang your head.

I don't think there was a lack of fan support in that game. A small portion of the student section left. Hardly cause to disparage the entire fan base.

      HuskerNationNick

Obamacare, is something normally explained as being like Military Healthcare. I don't know the whole ins and outs of the Obamacare, except it hurts the people who pay for their healthcare. If Obamacare is anything like the Military's, everyone is going to be in for a surprise. You are going to have hospitals denying Obamacare. There is one hospital in Omaha a military member can go to, unless its an emergency. A friend of mine, who was medically discharged, called in last month for a...

The healthcare portion (the teenie weenie portion) of the ObamaCare is the least of our worries. It's all the bullsh#t they crammed in it that has absolutely nothing to do with health care for which they were so pushy on getting it shove through for. That's the issue here.

      QMany

CD, I think he is referring to our panic with anyone looking Middle Eastern after 9-11. Hatred directed at many people just for looking similar to Al Qaeda. They weren't in the "terrorist" ethnic group but were hated.

    4. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

Thanks Q for explaining so I didn't have to. If you ask an American what was the first thing that popped into their head when you say "terrorist", I guarantee it would be 9/11 or Middle Easterns. Bombings aren't the "normal" acts of violence here, and when there is one, especially in foreign countries, its terrorism from a certain group of people, or an attack from activists from another country.

  7. The officiating is NOT why we lost this game. 6-24 (FG) and 0-11 (3pt) IS why we lost. You can't score 16 points in 20 minutes a half and blame it on refs.

Games are 40 minutes, down 13 at the half. NE makes some adjustments. 5:30 into the second, NE pulls within 9. In the next 3:30 Baylor had 12 FTA vs NE's 1 - Baylor's up 18. Next 8 minutes, both teams get 2 FTA - NE pulls within 9. Next 2:30 Baylor gets 12 FTA vs NE's 4. I really want to see the team that can play through that. Of course, I also wanted to see replays of the fouls. That didn't seem to happen either.

    3. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

I am not saying that the officiating didn't effect the game, but we effected our outcome with a piss poor first half. That is all I am saying.

carl, the car is too old for CarMax's taste, but I don't have room to build a racecar, so I am selling this one and buying an '04 Audi A6. The car is exceptionally clean and not stock. Performance parts don't appreciate the value, but the rarity of a clean, non rusted out Foxbody Mustang in really good shape and perfect interior is next to impossible to find in the Midwest.

    4. HuskerNationNick

      HuskerNationNick

WAHusker, when you buy a car, you don't intend to sell it, unless you know you can flip the car. This is why dealerships lowball, because they need to make a profit off the car. A buyer isn't looking for a profit. Asking someone to drop $1500 off a $4500 price is a slap in the face, and quite irritating. $700 I could see. I stated in the post I am in no rush, or need to sell the car. That should be a big clue I won't lose my ass that much lol. The car is easily wort...

      The King

I remember a thread this off-season where someone had a poll asking about that. I'm pretty sure I said he wouldn't even come close because he wasn't good enough. He has fumbled a lot less this year, but still lacks that extra gear. I might have to eat a lot of crow about him, because I didn't think that highly of him coming into this year. Still think with a HEALTHY Taylor, he probably isn't around 1500 though.

Offensively, we only turned the ball over one time last week, which was Reed's fumble. 2 were on special teams. It really looks like they are trying to limit the turnovers, its just unfortunate special teams had to have 2 muffed punts.
