This is genuinely one of the most lax (but fair) sport messageboards you'll ever see for any team. Complaining about heavy-handedness is really unjustified imo.

Didn't we have the longest streak of alumni playing in the Super Bowl in consecutive years or something like that? Not this year.

Yeah, it's weak, but it may have been part of the existing streak to begin with. Dennard was a healthy scratch before his IR this year which makes it especially weak, but other years there could easily have been players who just happened to be out for that game, or just missed the 46 active roster, or even were only on the practice squad, etc.

Coming back to Lincoln in February - unfortunately the LInkin Park show got cancelled because Chester's old ass broke his ankle in Indy and finished the show on a scooter.

Why wouldn't you want to watch the Superbowl? Elite quarterback versus elite secondary, two best teams in the league. Appreciate the sport man!

Here's my question - if any of these new assistants ends up being dead weight, is Riley going to succeed where Bo failed and make the necessary changes? Loyalty can have a high cost and I'm nervous about it.

I guess I meant it more as he didn't do it for very long. Yes, as a DC he had some pretty stellar ratings. Dorsey and Suh are God-sends for that mans career. Still, I'd think the "guru" status would be reserved for someone with a bit more tenure.
You sure you're #1 ? No way. If so though, I commend you for not making it the topic of every one of your discussions here.

I agree with zoogs tbh - when Bo was either underneath or surrounded by good coaches, nobody had a better defensive mind in the game, which isn't excusing the poor performances under his watch as head coach, but also doesn't diminish his accomplishments as a DC - every good DC has good support.
There's just as many 'facts' in support of his defensive coaching ability as there are against it. The negative ones just stand out more.

Jim Mora had a hat on with an 'N' and 'P' in his post game press conference, presumably in reference to Nick Pasquale, but the N was Nebraska type. Very cool.

I decided against a season highlight video, but if anyone has ideas for videos they would like to see (that aren't too ambitious) I'm open to hearing them.

OSU isn't going away, but it is unfathomable how tough Alabama plays. Like Nebraska of old - teams just come away physically broken.
