  1. Will the Cowboys ever be good again? It's been what, almost a decade since they were relevant?

Lets hope they never get good again.

It's the Callahan curse. Look at Oakland

  2. just read Tom and Dirk's columns...even they turned on him...saying it's time for Pelini to go...I just don't see how Pelini can stay for another season.

I believe Bo told Shatel and the fans to go f#*k themselves? Am I mistaken?

  3. What would it take to get Bo fired? A loss to Iowa, finishing with 4 regular season losses? A loss to Iowa and a bowl game loss, leaving us with 5 losses?

    1. Street Novelist

      Street Novelist

another profanity-laced rant about the fans?

    2. Junior

      Junior

No way you wait for the bowl to fire him. No chance at all. Either after Iowa or not at all.

    3. NUpolo8

      NUpolo8

      It's over. He gone.

  4. Is there a better music scene than Dino singing "My Rifle, My Pony and Me" in Rio Bravo? To think my father was a freshman in high school when that movie came out. lucky sob

To have been alive when you could turn on the radio and hear Frank and Dino.

That's my favorite John Wayne movie. So many memorable quotes.

"Let's make some noise Colorado" Love that snippet when they would play it at the local minor league hockey games.

  5. God, I can't wait for this season to be over.

    1. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

It seems pretty over to me already. The nly thing remaining to be seen is if a change happens at the conclusion of the Iowa game. If we win either of our remaining two, I would say we're in for another year of fun.

    2. TheSker

      TheSker

I think if it were "obvious" Pelini was gone, it would have happened Sunday and an interim named...basically like Kansas or Florida pulled the switch.

    3. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

I don't think any change will happen until after the Iowa game, and then it is probably doubtful unless we lose these remaining two games.

  6. As much as I hate seeing a guy get fired, does anyone see a situation where keeping Bo is the smart thing to do? Does anyone really believe we will be better next year, with a much harder schedule?

Did you think basketball could be better after tims first year and that schedule?

    3. NoLongerN

      NoLongerN

I think most have over-reacted. We have seen this most every year. I'm fine with keeping Bo personally ... but I've been off the bandwagon for several years. If we see a coach that we really want then I'm open to the next phase for this bewildered program.

    4. The King

      The King

I think it's the position coaches / coordinators that bo needs to evaluate, quickly. I can only think of 2 or 3 I'd keep, Rich Fisher being one.

  7. How did Michigan get so bad? These are still 5 star players.

  8. What a borefest! It sounded dead in Memorial Stadium.

  9. Did anyone watch last night's "30 For 30" with The Boz? I actually felt sorry for him.

He was one of the first trash talkers. I remember just loving to hate him, much like Barry Switzer but, secretly having respect for him because he brought it and it wasn't all just talk.

    3. knapplc

      knapplc

I didn't watch it. Why did you feel sorry for him?

He was a guy I loved to hate. Bigger than life, fun, the Bad Guy, but someone even as a kid that I respected.

    4. ZRod

      ZRod

@knap probably because that's not who he wanted to be. He lost himself in the boz and burned bridges for it. And it talked about how he could never please his father.

  10. How the f&^! does Will Muschamp still have a job?

  12. Damn, Mississippi State is good! How did they turn that program around so fast?

  13. If we don't win out and go to another Outback/Gator Bowl, would you want Bo back next year? Would losing 3 or 4 games be aceptable, given our extremely weak schedule?

4 losses this year is unacceptable, and that includes ccg and bowl game. Three losses wouldn't be thrilling but it would be improvement, so there is that.

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

And to be clear, Bo will be back even with 4 losses. I'd guess he would be back even with 5.

  14. If we run the table, and Wisconsin remains unranked, we will have gone through the regular season having not beaten a ranked team. When was the last time that happened to Nebraska?

Minny isn't a bad squad, only lose to a pretty good TCU team.

  15. Oregon, you aren't going to make it into the playoffs, just like you couldn' beat Auburn, you jackass!

  16. I am fully convinced the Huskers could beat the Raiders.

Did Hoke say he was "doing an excellent job in every area"?

    3. teachercd

      teachercd

Hokes problem was not running to run a real offense...He is rich, but will be canned...but will still be rich and well liked and land a gig if he wants one. But he will still be rich.

    4. True2tRA

      True2tRA

I always said Hoke was a good coach. I'm still not completely convinced he's a terrible coach. I thought his offense would be better this year with that former Alabama OC. Let's face one fact, Devin Gardner and Shoelace whatever his name was, are not exactly the type of QB's I saw running Hokes offense. I'm amazed he hasn't been able to recruit a better one.

  19. Last night was genuinely the first time since Osborne that I felt Memorial Stadium was intimidating.

    1. ShawnWatson

      ShawnWatson

I went to every home game from 94 to 01 and have been to several since, the most intimidating game during those years was during Solich in 2001 when Oklahoma came to town.

  21. R.I.P. iPod Classic...It was great while it lasted.

  22. I hope and pray we win Saturday night. Because if we don't, there won't be one spot in the entire state of Nebraska where Bo can hide. The sh#tstorm would be endless.
