Not a game that I'd like to see on the schedule at all. I'd take Mizzou however.

I want Texas again with neutral refs.

At Invesco would be even better. I live about 10 minutes from Invesco.

  2. I thought Husker fans overreacted towards recruits who decommit.... then I saw what Tennessee and Clemson fans were doing.

      How about death threats?

  3. Ahman Green didn't play in one, but Brandon Jackson did for the Packers. Henry Waechter had a safety for the Bears in Super Bowl XX, meaning two ex-Huskers have produced safeties in Super Bowls. There's some trivia for you.
  4. Ray Lewis gets a ring, or Randy Moss does. What a dilemma.

Randy Moss only mooned people and quit on his team multiple times. As far as I know he didn't kill two people.

  5. Nice to know we can still steal players from Missouri.

Agreed. Now to stop letting ARK steal players from us.

  6. I find Heard's departure to be especially troubling. What the hell is going on?

I dont find it troubling-yet. Not until we find out more about what happened.

Young Marrow will probably be out the door next.....

  7. Love him, or hate him, Chatelain is right about the turnover issue. Please, please fix it coaches.

Where Dirk lacks in writing skills, he makes up in enormous front teeth.

I'm sure the coaches are teaching them how to fumble better. Having a staff stay together for longer periods of time will help this issue some as you start to focus on more details and less "process" type of stuff. We've pretty much turn the majority of our staff over in the last 5 years and switched offense 3 times. Most of the focus has been on learning that.

  8. The difference between where we are and where we could be. I don't think it can be emphasized enough. Forget for a second that it's Dirk who wrote it and just read it.
  9. I think Duke broke Dick Vitale's brain.

That was hilarious. The same crying will happen when Bama football has a night like that.

VItale would be one hell of a hype man for either a boxing match or UFC fight. Can't stand the love fest he has for Duke and UK

I will never forget, watching that, John Lynch walks up to Gruden, and you can hear Lynch say, he's running everything just like you said he would...

not to be one to defend Clownahan, but how did the conversation go down, "Hey Jon, I'll throw the game so you can be a hero and I'll lose my job and f**k up a college program". Jon says " Bill. you could be my favorite coach".

Well, that move did make their center Barret whatever his name is, go crazy and vanish.

  11. Harbaughs win twice, Flyers lose twice, Stan Musial dies, Ray Lewis, Randy Moss and Michael Crabtree get to play in the Super Bowl. What else you got for me, universe?

I agree. Not a good weekend for the good guys. And a Super Bowl that is unwatchable.

  12. A Catholic organization covered something up? No foolin'.

  13. I think the two-tone turf was cool, but I think the novelty kind of wore off. It also represents one of our worst periods on the field. I think anything remotely associated with Callahan should be shunned Pick the darker green of the two and go with that. I'd also be in favor of red end zones... or maybe some other variation. I remember the "HUSKERS" end was always white outlined in red for the longest time, then they flipped it to match the "NEBRASKA" end. I also think they could put a helmet or a B1G logo or something else in one of the end zones, like they do in the Super Bowl.
  14. Anyone know if the turf is up for replacement? Seems like we are about due.
  15. TOUCHDOWN SEAHAWKS.... wait...what?

  16. The only thing worse than one Harbaugh winning is two Harbaughs winning. Ugh.

There has never been one thing that has ever been Jim Harbaugh's fault. Biggest whine tit in football. I'd like to fit him. His teams are always doing something dirty after the whistle as well. Even when he was at Stanford.

I think the Ravens maybe a little gassed next week. They played a hell of a game, but over times can take their toll.

  17. I am really starting to hate 45-31 scores.

  18. Sounds like Newby is a great get.

  19. DuBose was considered a prohibitive Heisman candidate in '86 before his knee. I don't know if he was quite the calibre of Rozier, but he was close. As it was, he had Keith Jones backing him up, who was no slouch either. Ken Clark was a great back.... very underrated, IMO. I remember he went head to head with Barry Sanders and outgained him by 75 yards (and most of Barry's were after the game was out of hand).
  20. It starts with having an offensive line and a defensive line that are both second to none. That won't complete the deal, but it'll get us close. That's what we used to have that we don't anymore.
  21. Anyone think Notre Dame would have beaten Oregon, Texas A&M, Ohio State or Georgia? Me neither.

they just need to get rid of bettman to save the nhl otherwise he will be the end of that league.

      husker_99

The only time i would watch a crappy bowl would be because the better bowls haven't gotten to play yet. Having crappy bowls after the BCS bowls and before the National Championship is stupid.

I know.... once the Rose and Orange and Sugar have been played, you can't have some stupid-ass Sponsor.com snoozer later. Nobody wants to see an opening act after the main band.

  24. I think Oregon scored a rouge.

  25. Agreed.... yeah, we've been overmatched the last two years, but I think it needed to happen to get better. We have a fair idea of where we are as a program now IMO. 93-97 doesn't happen without years of paying dues to the likes of Miami and Florida State.
