Been fun gents. I don't know what happened here but I think that I'll spend more time elsewhere. GBR!

"And Riley and Cavanaugh are the primary reasons Barnett even considered Nebraska. The Huskers’ previous staff hadn’t offered. Hadn’t shown interest. Despite Breeze sending legendary offensive lineman Will Shields and safety Mike Minter to Lincoln, NU didn’t have an in with Breeze for many years."

Whoa. Creighton loses trauma center designation.

And, for at least a week or two, we don't have to hear about the SEC. - Paul Johnson

Is it just me or are the same people who were optimistic about Bo now pessimistic about Riley?

Anyone want to buy my spot-on Tressel costume? I just wore it out to a few places in Lincoln.

This is all Polo's fault.

Who could we hire that is better than Bo? Jerry Kill is an easy answer.

Don't worry folks. Still have a shot at #9wins like Alabama and Oregon.

Boy, another day like last Saturday and we are ALL going to have to do Rumchata shots to cope.

Well, that '-leaver bandwagon is filling up nicely, isn't it? The disagreements from the summer seem so long ago . . .

My opinion is we played horribly on Saturday, the offensive line is offensive and I think the defense started to quit because they don't trust our offense or our linebackers. I also think my opinion doesn't matter that much because I don't have the cell phone number for anyone who matters in the decision. And it seems to me that there are pot shots all over a message board.....

"That is the exact same thing in football. You've got to be sophisticated enough to have the different type of answers you need to compete and simple enough for your guys to execute."
Joe Moglia.

Well, carlfense, I look forward to hearing what possible reasons they could have. Even if we went down a division to get an up-and-comer who's run a program before (something beneath our financial potential), I don't think in our division we have to worry about snapping the mystical nine game streak simply because we change coaches. What we might do, though, is avoid NCAA records being broken on us.

ESPN thinks Gurley's suspension is a shame. http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/92195/gurley-case-highlights-need-for-reform

In yet another contrast, Nebraska self-reported a textbook violation that was hardly a violation and was solely based off some student's misunderstanding of a book list. The NCAA likely would never have known had we not self-reported, yet we were given two year's probation and are subject to the repeat-offender clause if anything else happens for five years after the report. Gurley didn't self-report, he was "snitched" out, and to my knowledge Georgia faces no probation ov...

Interesting: "With the expired play clock, Fiedler said that was not a reviewable play."
