SVP, dropping the hammer on the land of sensitivity (video)....

@Savage Husker, I totally agree. I'm 30 and this has been my reply when I heard parents bitching about my generation when I was in HS. Why I agree with @B.B. Hemingway about other influences, I also believe that parents still have a lot of control over their children and what they view. I understand you can't keep them locked in a room away from the real world, but you can damn sure monitor what they involve themselves in and if when your kids are doing things that you dont approve of dont be afraid to take their devices away and allow them to have them back once they understand why said involvements are detrimental to them. I am in law enforcement, and I also work in the school system, and I can't tell you how many times Ive seen parents who are afraid to take their kids devices or vehicles, because they are afraid their kids will be mad at them. Your'e not your kids friend you're their damn parent!
Sorry rant over

Kansas JUCOs eliminated out-of-state player restrictions. Since then, the number of in-state players on their teams has dropped 80%. https://www.kansas.com/sports/varsity-kansas/article223286360.html

A lot of KS HS coaches were upset because they felt that it hurt the kids from the state of KS, the kind of kids that Bill Snyder used to build up K-State, and now those kids arent going to get a look because those JUCO's are going to quit recruiting the state. The coaches feel that the community colleges are there to help the kids and communities in KS first. Again you have to understand that these coaches are trying to look out for the best interest of the kids they coach, just like the JUCO's are looking out for themselves by eliminating the rule.
I dont think the rule was set in place with the intent to be racist, but again to try to get KS kids more opportunities to better themselves as a student-athlete. But again thats just my opinion if you feel it is racist I can understand why you feel that way, again I just dont think the intent of the rule was to be racist.
As far as Sims to MoSouthern I dont see him being too successful. There is almost zero interest in their football team by the Joplin community, and from what I've heard making the football team competitive isn't very high on the schools admins priority list

It's also frustrating because there was a lot of kids who got some education paid for and got an opportunity to play the game they love for a few more years. Jeff Simms the former coach at Garden City CC was the biggest advocate for the change. He really pushed it stating that it was unfair to potential African American recruits because it limited their chances to go to a KS Juco due to the instate scholarship requirements and the fact that KS has mostly caucasian kids. There are a lot of KS HS coaches that are upset and are pushing kids to go D2 or to Butler County because they are still taking KS kids at a pretty high rate.

Mike McIntyre out at CU after this season. That game may have gotten easier for NU next season.

Didn't really like Moos' comments about not liking night games as it's a long day for him... I love night games.

Wow - we just returned from our honeymoon yesterday and had wonderful support from our family and friends throughout the whole wedding process, ceremony, reception... you name it! Couldn't be happier and Barbados was terrific. Highly recommend renting a car if you ever visit there - driving on the opposite side of the road is laughably dangerous to get used to the first time.

Husker quarterbacks: Do you think Coach Frost will allow his quarterback to ‘play through the mistakes’ or will he pull them? (I heard this question on 1620 The Zobe this afternoon and thought it was interesting. I think that as a former q.v. himself, Scott can tell whether a qb is having a ‘bad hair day’ and needs to sit out or the qb is just not getting it and needs to sit down. What do you guys think?

Not sure if this belongs in P&R, but I thought the new Roseanne episodes were pretty funny. I loved that show growing up.

Our recruiting right now kind of confuses me. Our spot to prospect ratio seems way off. It could just be we're making sure we don't get left high and dry, but I have no clue who we're going to take and who is left out.

Michigan St needs to get the Penn St treatment for this Nassar thing, if not worse.
