  1. Wanna hear a joke? Andy Dalton *bazing*

  2. Either Ohio State's defense is playing very hesistent or they are very slow.

They do have injuries, but even with all the starters they are not that good.

  3. As much as I hate ESPN these days, I love Kenny Mayne. He's on a roll tonight. The UA game highlights were gold.

  4. So a complete stranger walked into our house from the bar last night and slept on our couch. #Yolo

That happened a couple of times at my place during college, they always mean no harm and are confused as you are.

Are there only complete strangers? Or are there partial strangers, too?

  5. As much as I want to see Johnny put on a show, I would love Duke destroying A&M.

And yes, bad teams can sometimes beat better teams. It happens. But it's a surprise, just as this is. Even defense optional aTm should be able to stop these guys every now and then. Not to mention prevent onside kicks and blocked punts...

      strigori

They are looking to end with 11 wins. They do play in a 'power 5' conference, won a division and are in the process of blowing out a top 25 SEC team. WTF does a team have to do to be 'good'?

    4. EbylHusker

      EbylHusker

Right, just like if NU wins their division Big 10, but it's full of bad and average teams, they must be good, right? Like I said, look at their wins and losses. Nothing that even approaches "good." And no top 25 team has ever just laid a total egg in a bowl, right? No, never...not since ASU last night, at least. Durrrr.

Guaranteed. He was so mad. Plus he tells everyone he's throwing down 360 jams like nothing, and he probably is, but he goes JV on a layup. Haha

    4. Foppa

      Foppa

I can do amazing 360 jams also. On my PS3 and my nerf basketball goal lol.

  6. My body is not ready for the NFL playoffs. So many really good teams.

  7. To all the Chiefs fans out there: Do you root for Chase "Booger-Eater" Daniels today?

  8. THE Max Bullough got suspended for MSU's first Rose Bowl in like 20 years. Must've been pretty bad. Either that or Dantonio lays down the law. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/10194532/max-bullough-michigan-state-spartans-suspended-miss-rose-bowl

Jeez, I wonder what the commentators will go on and on about as far as "legacy" and "Mr. all everything sparty". Surprised MSU can even field a team without Bullough.

  9. Crazy stat: It took Peyton Manning a full 120 fewer pass attempts to throw 49 TDs in 2004.

Passing game is so much easier for qb's to manipulate today. They have the whole field to work with, and, let's face it, qb's today dont have to make throws under the real pressure that the Youngs, Montanas, Kellys, Elways, and Marinos had to. not to mention there's no reason to fear sending guys over the middle and "hanging them out to dry" anymore. It is lightyears easier to pass now than it was 20 years ago.

  11. It's funny how UT keeps firing up their fanbase with talks of Saban, Harbaugh, and Carroll, when they have no chance for any of them. Such arrogance.

I think what he's saying is he wants to use all the leftover points that they score against their never-ending weak schedule to help them beat the few decent teams that they play that they can't beat otherwise.

  15. The great Tom Brady once said, "F#*^ this snow" and threw for 345 yds and 5 td... in the first half. Let's see how Peyton fares today.

    1. tschu

      tschu

Everyone knows you throw in the snow. Receivers have a big advantage over DBs with snow on the ground

  16. I kinda hope Auburn gets in the NC. FSU would beat them by 50. They have a great offense, and unlike Missouri, they play D.

    1. TonyStalloni

      TonyStalloni

We don't know for sure if they play great defense. Their schedule wasn't all that difficult.

  17. Whoever drafts this Bortles character is gonna have a bad time. Dude's got himself quite the lady friend though.

  18. Randy Gregory's NFL draft stock is going through the roof. Right now projected 5th best DE in his class, up from about 40 or so at midseason. Good for us, he's nowhere near ready and is just showing glimpses of his potential. We a potential once ina generation type talent on our hands.

Because NFL Draft stock is based a lot on potential, especially among under players.

He's staying, the only reason this will he stay/will he go has come up was because of the Pelini drama. If Pelini left it was more than likely RG would have left.

    4. husker07

      husker07

By "nowhere near ready", I meant that he is essentially getting by entirely on his freakish ability right now. With his technique as is, he would get wrecked in the league. He's ranked so high because his natural ability is so ridiculous.

Yes he does. Glad he left Seattle though. Dan Quinn is where it's at.

  20. Danny Kanell LAYING DOWN THE LAW! Putting Finebaum in his place. All he had in response to Kanell saying the SEC isn't that great was, "Your unamerican" lol..

  21. The blatant SEC bias from ESPN, while nothing new, is making me sick. They're painting them as a "team of destiny" that would be criminally wronged if they don't get to play for the crystal. I want to punch my TV.

    1. husker07

      husker07

The argument that the best teams should play, carries no weight to me. You could pick 50 teams from the past that were probably the best teams who didn't get to play in the NC, 99 NU included.

  22. You'd think the Chiefs would make it a priority to take away the big play seeing as that was NE's m.o. last week. But no. This is why you can't have nice things KC.

  24. ESPN shedding some tears and plotting ways to get an SEC team in the NC. SMDH

    1. suh_fan93

      suh_fan93

I hope an SEC team is in the NC. They'll give them more of a fight than OSU will that's for sure. Even with the loss today I still think the two best teams are Bama and FSU.

    2. husker07

      husker07

Oh I agree completely. Bama and FSU are clearly top 2, and if you're rooting for a good game that's what you want. However, I want there to be 0% chance an SEC team wins 8 years in row.

    3. Landlord

      Landlord

The teams in the championship game are the teams that have earned it with what they have done - not the teams that we arbitrarily think are the best (especially since we don't ever know anything).
