  1. Wisconsin Twitter seems to think last night was J. Taylor's last game at Camp Randle. The (arguably) best RB in CFB history leaving isn't a bad thing.

(Looked it up: 11:1  carry/TD ratio)

  2. I think I'm subscribed to too many newspapers. What're your go-to's, especially outside of the Husker realm.

I don't subscribe to any but back in the day...I LOVED getting the Sunday paper, a big ole fat coffee and a donut or two.

For quite a few years I subscribed to the Washington Post and the New York Times Sunday edition.  Now I don't get any newspaper home delivered.  I read reuters.com and sometimes CNN.  Admittedly I'm not well informed.  I just don't care to hear most of the crap that's called news anymore.

  3. Helluva comeback #skol

  4. Blundering.

    1. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

Blundering? Because the team performed better than any rational person could've expected? Or because you expected more?

I mean blundering has been our identity for quite awhile now and this was maybe the least blundering we've been all season.

Outside of Mills, and a glimpse of the old Martinez, I'm not sure what there is to be excited about...Blundering still feels accurate.

  5. If  for nothing else, the sake of the recruiting class, I hope Nebraska doesn't get their head caved in tomorrow.

Better than I expected, for sure.... Probably should be going for the win here.

  6. Skol! Nice win in Dallas.

  7. Minnesota and PJ Fleck.... This season gets more depressing by the day.

@Redux We'll see them in hell!

@JJ Husker I understand patience, but when you see what Fleck has done at Minnesota, it makes it hard to stay there.

    3. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

@B.B. Hemingway My point wasn't necessarily patience (although in a roundabout way maybe it was). I just think this staff inherited a sh!t sandwich AND the thing, maybe none of us expected, was that they have a lot of adjusting and growing to do to compete in a real league. It's obvious to us now that this staff has a lot of adjusting to do and not the infamous quote about the B1G needing to adjust for them. So not necessarily patience but likely a few more years than was anticipated. I think Frost is the right guy but he's going to have to get to a place where results speak louder than loyalty. It may take awhile for him to learn some of this ain't gonna work here.

And BTW, imo Fleck hasn't really done anything at Minnesota yet. Sure they look a lot better but we can talk when they're winning their division and conference instead of having what so far is just one out of character season.

I would somewhat prefer they win but after they slow played Vedral's eligibility I'm more pleased when they lose.

  10. A lot of JUCO offers lately.... A great sign for the recruiting class, I'm sure.... Bad recruiting should be illegal.

@Thanks_Tom RR Is there really so much that can be seen now that couldn't have been seen at this time last year, though? I've thought for a long time that we should've taken more transfers just to balance out the class numbers, especially the massively depleted 2017 class. I understand preferring younger guys to build for the long-term, but losing has produced weak recruiting that threatens to negate that, so...

  11. If you were hoping Nebrasketball would reprieve you from the misery of our football program, I'VE GOT SOME TERRIBLE NEWS!!!

  12. 13 commits, with signing day a month out? This program is as bad as it ever was under Riley, or Bill.

@The Dude I thought the early signing period would hurt us a lot. What would help us a lot more is an early official visits period.

Our shotgun approach to sending offers doesn't seem to have helped much.

I thought we usually heard about coaches jetting to a bunch of different places during the bye weeks.  Haven't seen much info this year.  Maybe it just wasn't posted.

  13. Idk what everyone is expecting. When you apologize to the team on a Monday for being mean to them, you're only going to breed softness in the program.

    1. ZRod

      ZRod

No your not. You have no idea what he said. Frost is preaching and demonstrating accountability trying to get these guys to take to it.

  14. For those wanting a good laugh: If Nebraska wins out, and Minnesota loses their last four (Penn St, @Iowa, @NW, Wisc), Nebraska would go to Indy..

  15. I get the owners of this board need to make money, but maybe we can do away with the mobile ads that pop up right in the middle of the screen when I'm trying to type....

    1. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

Keyword "maybe". Sounds more like it's going to be "maybe not" though.  The ads weren't really bothering me until they started sticking in position and blocking sh#t when I scroll down the page. That pisses me off.

Not sure we have enough information to make that judgement.  I haven't been around players hearing their attitudes about it.

Or maybe they didn't like how the team responded to the cold weather in Minnesota? :dunno

Vacayed in Key West in the early 70's when I was a kid. Can't really give any recommendation based on that. Myrtle Beach is fun and lots of golf but I'm not sure how it is in January.

Key Largo is one of my favorite old movies....:D

This is an excellent article tying Lebron's comments back to a similar situation that began with a $14 per hour Marriott worker from Omaha who "liked" a tweet and got fired because of it:

      @Cdog923

Paraphrasing here: "You want to see an a$$ kicking watch that last drive." It was after one of Minnesota's long, run heavy drives.

It wasn't wrong, but seemed like an oddly aggressive choice of words from a guy covering the team.

Players are best to just move on. Its not fair, but with Twitter you are fighting usually a nameless/faceless army who receives zero punishment for what they say but when you are a face/name, you win nothing going after them. It is not fair for those guys regardless of how they played, but again, what do you get by going back at a person? Everyone is frustrated.

  25. These guys want paid?!
