Foppa
Well...now 'the Joker' will spend the rest of his life in prison. Welcome back to reality, loser. Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
The more the story comes out, the more effed up it is. This was as planned as they come. Does Colorado have the death penalty? Quote Link to comment
GSG
The more the story comes out, the more effed up it is. This was as planned as they come. Does Colorado have the death penalty? Yes, but they've only executed 1 since 1976 from what I can tell. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Does Colorado have the death penalty? If I'm reading this correctly, yes they do http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/colorado-1 Death Penalty: Yes Date of Reinstatement (following Furman v. Georgia): January 1, 1975 Location of Death Row: Sterling Location of Executions: Canon City This whole situation only strengthens my belief in conceal/carry Quote Link to comment
VA Husker Fan
Did some looking and it seems probable/likely those screenshots were faked. 9gag is just...bizarre. There's some funny content there (it's basically a list of user-submitted images with captions that are supposed to be funny), but so much of that community just makes me shake my head. Humanity is sad. ... And why does this keep happening in Colorado anyway? Seriously, why Colorado? I know we relish in making fun of CU fans and all. But Colorado is just another state with people like any other. I don't think CO has a higher incidence of nutjobs than Nebraska or Illinois or any other state. /edit: I don't intend for this to be an opening to bag on Colorado. I am just wondering why the coincidence? It's just odd. Columbine is getting a lot of mention right now, but this doesn't "keep happening in Colorado". See http://denver.cbsloc...mass-shootings/ for a list of similar shootings. Arizona, Texas (twice), Illinois, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Utah, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia, Arkansas, ... and Omaha Nebraska. Twice in Colorado in 20+ years isn't a cluster. Quote Link to comment
strigori
The one guy in the University of Colorado system that needed more weed.... But seriously, people and the media need to take a deep breath and calm the F down. Already you see calls for the movie to be pulled, more 'gun control' or limiting the internet from 'bomb making info.' Metal detectors, searches and security at theaters and other public places. Emotional, knee jerk reactions are never a good idea. And I'm sure when they get through is apartment there will be things in there common to men, TVs, video games and porn. And there will be calls for all those things to be banned or regulated. This guy appears to be a sociopath, not insane. His actions are his alone and they are terrible actions indeed. But from what we know now, completely unpreventable in the free society we love. Only a police state could prevent what happened, with what we know now. Maybe some red flags will show up, but so far he had no police record, and the guns were legally purchased. Quote Link to comment

navysker
I know the link I have may not be credible but on Armed Forces News(AFN) here in Italy they said military members were in that theater. They didn't give out any specifics but this is all I can find and I know some military memebers were there due to the previous AFN report. Heart goes out for them tonight. http://www.canada.co...5116/story.html OK I found the stars and stripes article. http://ap.stripes.com/dynamic/stories/C/COLORADO_SHOOTING_MILITARY?SITE=DCSAS&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2012-07-20-11-38-10 Quote Link to comment

Yet they got a guy fired at BK for stepping on lettuce, 9gag would apparently tell him what to step in first All thoughts/prayers to the families involved. EDIT: OK now I see the posts were a hoax. Ratt Mhule
Too bad somebody couldn't have put a bullet in that piece of sh#t and ended it right then and there. Seriously not trying to make jokes, but Banes line in the movie is pretty appropriate to this post. His punishment must be more severe. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
My thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. Senseless tragedy executed by a coward hell bent on creating the shock and awe we are witnessing now. As an active-shooter instructor this is the EXACT reason I carry my firearm off-duty. I'm going to at least have a fighting chance if a nutjob walks in to the area I'm in. Nevermind that I'm a state firearms instructor and former SWAT operator. Wished I could've been there last night to delete this guy from existence here on this planet and send him to where he really deserves to exist..... HELL! 1 Quote Link to comment

I just thought that 2 of the 10 worst spree killings in U.S. history seemed like a lot for a state with less than 2% of the country's population. Quote Link to comment
