Run him out onto the field late on our first offensive play (so everyone in the stadium sees him come in, the place will explode), use the wildcat formation, have him hand off to Ameer, bring him off the field and take his helmet away. He deserves to get his accolades from the fans, but we need him down the road much more so than on Saturday.

He has reinjured the knee several times it seems to me. I think because of his attitude he was rushed back, no fault to the doctors or staff. He is a warrior and he would want to play the whole game.

I would let him run the first play and then out. This kid has given way too much to destroy his pro career. You all know how I feel about pro football, but this kids deserves a chance at that level. Set him the rest of the year, let him hit the combine fully healed and on killer mode.

I know that will never happen, because Rex is a full red blooded Husker. He will say he is fine no matter the cost to play on Senior day. I love what this kid has brought to the program, it is time for adult guidance and concern. Tough thing for Bo to do, he knows what a warrior Rex is, but he needs to get something out of the effort at the next level. Let him make some money and retire at Nebraska coaching running backs.

My prayers will be with him no matter what happens. I just do not believe he is ready to play and won't be for another two or three months.

I have had knee problems my whole life, they very seldom heal right and will always cause him problems.

This x10!

Rex has been the ideal husker his four years at Nebraska. And if he does play he should only carry the ball once or twice, just for the sake of it being senior day. Let him get fully healed and then when/if we make it to the rose bowl, he can come to the game fully healthy and show the pro scouts that he is still a quality back. The kid has worked way to hard, just to be rushed back for a few ceremonial carries that re injures his knee and maybe ruins his career in football at the next level

I'd play him for a fool.

I'd be all "Hey Rex, I've got some Tootsie Pops in my bag but I forgot it in the locker room."

He would respond with eager giddiness, "My man, I will go get them if I can have some!", to which I will agree.

However, as he believes he's entering the locker room, he's actually entering a scale replica of it that is really a cage designed to trap him. I then agree to let him go and give him Tootsie Pops if he takes off all his pads (not what you think, hold on.)

Little does Rex know that I'm actually tricking him and won't let him go at all, but I put on his gear for my chance at Husker glory on the field.

If that was an option in the poll, I'd choose that one.

Plus one !!! Actually, I'd line him up at QB and let him pitch to Ameer as an homage to all Ameer has done this year, and in some way, a big THANK YOU fro Rex.

Hell, if I were Jerry Kill and I heard about what Rex has done off the field at Nebraska, I'd tell my team to spot Rex a touchdown and walk with him down the field. They could just give seven back so we can say thanks to a kid that exemplifies what collegiate athletics is all about.

And if we want to be all even keel about this, we could, on our first play from offense, 'fumble' the ball to whomever is wearing the honorary #51 for Minnesota (worn in memory of deceased Minnesota player Gary Tinley) and let them score a TD, just to even things up and be classy hosts.

I have no idea how you could give Rex a ceremonial carry without him going all out. Give him the ball and trip him right away? Could cause injury. Untie his shoelaces? He'd just run in his socks. Have the O-line surround him? They might be able to stop him. The only run I've seen him slow down on was last years Iowa game when they offered him the ball to break the single game carry record. He didn't really want it and I thought Taylor was going to have to run it.

I think you just "won" the internet.
