ADS
Just when it appeared that the days of the fat college quarterback were over and I would be resigned to telling stories about them “back in my day,” a burly vision appeared on Saturday in the form of third-string Nebraska quarterback Ron Kellogg III. If you are like me, you flipped over to the last couple minutes of the thrilling Northwestern-Nebraska game on that fateful afternoon and immediately thought to yourself, “Who’s the fat guy at quarterback with his belly hanging out? It’s glorious….” Judging by the comments on Twitter, there were plenty of you in the same boat. http://www.lostlettermen.com/kellogg-iii-the-return-of-the-fat-college-qb/ Quote Link to comment
irafreak
Anyone remember Jared Lorenzen? Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Anyone remember Jared Lorenzen? Yep. Fattest QB I ever did see and shockingly he's gotten even bigger lol. Quote Link to comment
darkhorse85
I've always hated QB's had had a non-traditional number. When I was a freshman in high school the starting varisty quarterback was #32. He's in prison now. You're next Gardner. 2 Quote Link to comment

B.B. Hemingway
Yeah, Ron must work hard to stay that out of shape at a program with such an elite S&C program..... Waist lines aside, he's a legend now.... Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
Is this necessary? Wouldn't bother me if this thread was deleted. 3 Quote Link to comment

Tatum
Is Ron even fat? He wears a QB-jacket (not the correct term, maybe someone knows what I am referring to). Without that, he wouldn't look so.... round. 1 Quote Link to comment
np_husker
He's not fat, he's fluffy. Quote Link to comment
Forge
I like Ron, but lets be honest - he is husky/chunky. He isn't obese or what I would consider fat, but fat is a relative term. I am guessing he is about 245lbs in this picture without his rib protector. Quote Link to comment

Enhance
It's just the way he's built. Kind of reminds me of Ben Roethlisberger. You wouldn't say he was fat but he doesn't *look* like the most athletic quarterback in the NFL. Quote Link to comment
