Warrior10
He just lead OU on their final drive and threw 5/8 and the winning TD pass. Could any QB for NU have done the same? Ask Michigan they might think so. 5-7 59 yards and the game winning TD pass. Mr. Armstrong. Or if you are talking about anyone on our current roster this year....Taylor wins. Quote Link to comment
corncraze
Considering that we'll only have two scholarship QBs available next season, I say we pursue him. If he doesn't start, we could always use him on short down situations. Quote Link to comment
Redux
Hell yeah! Why WOULDNT we want to start a Running Back at Quarter Back with 1 year of eligibility. 1 Quote Link to comment

zoogs
Oh, OK. I've never even seen Bell play and know almost nothing about him, except that he was something like a top QB recruit out of high school, and we have two scholarship QBs heading into next year. One of them a redshirt freshman-to-be with no experience. A single injury makes that a very scary situation. The Nebraska 247 board suggested another name, Brett Smith from Wyoming. It sounds like he may graduate early and transfer to a bigger FBS school for his final year. Smith's a guy I wouldn't mind see come in and compete for the starting job, kid's a baller. Now this is something I wouldn't mind... Wyoming just lost their coach. Yeah, this, I wouldn't mind at all. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFowler
How about Brad Smith? Has graduated from WYO and is apparently looking to transfer for his final season. Quote Link to comment

Husker no ka oi
Damn, how many QBs do we need. And if he lost a qb battle to a freshman, what's that tell you ??? Quote Link to comment
LSEHusker
Wouldn't he have to sit out a year? Quote Link to comment
Redux
Bret Smith does play lights out in Lincoln.... Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Wouldn't he have to sit out a year? Not if he graduates and enrolls in a grad program that OU doesn't offer. Quote Link to comment
C N Red
Um....simple answer.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
NUance
Wouldn't he have to sit out a year? Not if he graduates and enrolls in a grad program that OU doesn't offer. à la Russell Wilson. Why all the negativity in this thread? Nobody is saying this guy would be THE answer at QB. He'd be a one-season guy who could come off the bench and juice up our passing game. A bandaid. Much like the role RK3 played for most of the year. And it would only cost us one year of scholly. That's sort of a rare opportunity. Oh well, opinions may vary I guess. Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
How about Brad Smith? Has graduated from WYO and is apparently looking to transfer for his final season. About 30 posts late on this scenario bro. But its a situation that would be a better for than bell imo Quote Link to comment
theknife
Another Qb with FBS experience would be great for the program. I don't think anyone is advocating a Keller situation here... Quote Link to comment
