SJB getting good reviews. Has done well in run support and almost got a pick. Announcers are liking his physical play and "trusting his eyes" and keeping plays in front. Only "negative" was that being a bigger CB is harder to break down when a receiver breaks out of route. IMO biased) the comments were almost all positive. No negative comments about him directly ie big corners have this issue......, but several positive directly about him and his abilities.

Stock is rising IMO. A good combine and he is in the money. Folks comparing his size to Sherman (Seahawks) and saying teams are looking for bigger CB's. SJB fits that mold.

Lots of love in this thread for SJB. But for Ciante ... crickets. Was SJB really *that* much better than Ciante Evans? I've always been a big fan of Stanley. But Ciante is a fine CB too. Sure he's only 5'11" versus SJB at 6'3". But Ciante is the more versatile DB of the two. Hits harder. And every bit as fast.

Does Ciante Evans get drafted? Think he'll make a roster somewhere?

Ciante is nowhere near as athletic as SJB. He was a really good player for us, but he's undersized (weight, not height) and isn't the best cover corner in the world.

What about Quincy? Any buzz on him? You would think a team like the 49ers would take him for his physical play and blocking.

SF needs a big speed guy, not another possesion reciever. The only way I see SF going after him is if they let Boldin walk or they use one of thier 5 seventh round picks on him.

This is the truth. + 1

Unfortunately, I have to agree. He was really good at his specific task - covering receivers up to about 10 yards downfield and pretty good in run support. But most of the time when he had to turn and cover downfield it didn't work out so well.

SJB has benefitted from making some highlight reel plays this year. He is also HUGE for a QB. In the mold of the flavor of the month in Sherman. He fits well against the newer big bodied receivers that teams are going to to.

Quince, with a good combine, will do well IMO. He is big bodied and physical. Plays mean.

Evans will be dependent in his combine IMO. Good cover corner and sticks his nose in.
