gbr93
Just saw on twitter that Matt received a medical waiver and was granted a 6th year of eligibility. Good for him! Quote Link to comment
whateveritis1224
Nice, 2 years of Finnin on the line, it's nice to see that NCAA doesn't always have it's head up their butts. Quote Link to comment
I am I
So did he play at all last year? What was his injury? Is he projected to be 2 deep? Quote Link to comment

Mavric
He played in a few. Mostly during mop up time, iirc. His extra year come from before he was at NU. I don't know the details but his father became ill which led him to transfer to the JUCO to be closer to home but that cost him a year of eligibility. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
A little more detail from 247: Finnin graduated from high school in 2010 and redshirted that fall at Western Michigan, before returning home to help take care of his ailing father. He enrolled at Eastern Illinois in the fall of 2011, but returned home again, playing at College of DuPage for one season before signing with Nebraska as part of the 2013 recruiting class. The additional year granted by the NCAA was for the season Finnin spent taking care of his father, who passed away last spring. The 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive tackle appeared in four games last season for Nebraska, but was firmly in Nebraska's two-deep by the end of the season and in bowl practices. Quote Link to comment
Comish
AWESOME. Can't wait to have him, Kneval and Sterup all rotating OT!!! As of 2013.... Matt Finnin: 6'7" 305 lbs Zach Sterup: 6'8" 305 lbs David Kneval: 6'9" 305 lbs I want to see our giant line push people around like rag dolls! As long as our QB's can see down the field........ Seriously, if Moore can come in and start as a true freshman, pretty sure Farmer can come in and at the least provide legit minutes. Quote Link to comment

Sure seems like Farmer could come in and play but with two Seniors returning as starters ahead of him plus decent depth behind them, I'd be OK if he redshirts then starts for four years. SouthLincoln Husker
Don't forget 295 Hannon & 275 Johnson. They redshirted last year and are probably bigger & stronger. The pipline re-established! Quote Link to comment
Savage Husker
Any word on Paul Thurston? He was a big get and should be competing for pt. Quote Link to comment
