Axl_sued_me
http://journalstar.com/news/opinion/mailbag/letter-loud-in-stadium/article_8baafa09-aa82-57f7-9e28-9808c5c22142.html We are senior citizens and have enjoyed Big Red football ever since Bob Devaney came in 1962 -- 334 football games. We think the new stadium sound system is great; however, it was so loud we could hardly talk to each other. People could probably hear it in Crete! Come on. Turn it down halfway, and by the way it would be nice to have some wonderful music instead of all this hip-hop hogwash ... the kind that Dr. Tom Osborne could enjoy. hskrfan4life
Yea, I don't think you should be talking to others during the game. You should be watching the game and yelling your a$$ off. Plus the music that is playing appeals to the younger crowd and gets you moving. Quote Link to comment
OmahaPlaya
They need to give me their tickets. 1 Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
I think it's a troll... especially because of the last part. 1 Quote Link to comment
cg_8
Guys, I see an uprising... Anyway, I am not one to stereotype senior citizens, but this sounds almost like a joke someone would write satirizing senior citizens with overgeneralized stereotypes. The use of "wonderful music" followed by "hip hop hogwash"... That sounds like such a joke. Maybe it is, but something tells me that it is not. Anyway, I could see a sign in the stadium someday that says "MORE ROY ORBISON!" Quote Link to comment
Mavric
They need to give me their tickets. This crossed my mind as well. Perhaps if they turned it up a little more and played all the time, they'd give up their ticket and shuffle some new blood in there. / only half kidding Quote Link to comment
Blackshirts007
Maybe the senior citizens should enjoy the games in there recliner at home. A much easier path to the bathroom and you don't have to deal with those gosh darn stairs. Quote Link to comment
LSEHusker
At least we know it's working Quote Link to comment

ShawnWatson
I have for years said there should be a 3rd quarter fox trot. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
The music wasn't too loud but the selection wasn't great. "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Back in Black" have been used to death. 2 Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
In fairness, music really has gone to hell ever since Lawrence Welk went electric. 4 Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Sorry, but I don't feel sorry for these folks because that stadium was quite as hell on Saturday and was embarrassing to watch! Quit sitting on your hands or sitting there and crossing your arms. Either stand up and cheer or sell your tickets. Memorial Stadium is not a scary environment at 11 am. Quote Link to comment
