Adam Carriker's Thoughts on the Firing of Bo

"The level of expectation when I was growing up & when I first arrived at Nebraska are completely different than they are now for the team. I had a few conversations while I was in DC with a recent former Husker (who I won't name) & he bragged to me more than a few times about how he won 9 games while he was there & he played for a conference title (...) I did the same exact thing & I was mad about it at the time & it still makes me angry to this day that the most amount of wins I achieved in a season at Nebraska was actually 10 & I never won a championship."

This is awfully telling isn't it? Jeez.

Does he live in Nebraska? Because Josh Mitchell and Finnin might take a crap on his door step. But on a serious note I think he just summed up how all of us who have wanted a change feel. Its nothing personal but Bo isn't the coach to take this program to where it needs to be.

Yep, and I am with the guy that said we should look past NU ties. Neither Bolh or Frost are the right guy for the job. If Frost wants to come here as an assistant, then I could get behind that. But he isn't ready to be a HC yet. Bohl is another Frank/Bo and is good for lower level schools and won't be able to take NU where it needs to go.

I'd like to turn the page on "Nebraska Ties". We just need a real leader that can win the right way. Other than that, enjoyed the read.

Yeah, he mentioned Saban in his OP. What ties did Saban have at Bama? Absolutely none.

It's time to get an established head coach with a track record of winning.

What do you all think about David Shaw at Stanford (another team he mentioned)?

Would you care to elaborate?

Good read and makes a lot of sense. It is the culture that has been established that 9 wins, regardless of competition or losses, is a fantastic accomplishment. Even if it comes with no championships, top 10 finishes etc.....

On another note BTN released their all B1G team....No Nebraska players were on it. Not one. Think about that.....#9wins

And think about how many times you've read on here that because Bo won nine games everything is fine. So many of the fans have completely bought into this line of thinking too. They're the ones who are up in arms about Bo being let go.
