The Duke
Adidas is aware of the plans for NikeTown and there is no conflict with their contract, UNL Chancellor Harvey Perlman said. "We won't be doing anything that is in conflict with our contract." The Adidas contract runs through 2017, Perlman said. Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
I wonder how much $ NU makes from their own "Huskers Authentic" store. IIRC, NU closed the store in the parking garage by Memorial Stadium, since they have the store by PBA. If NU does switch to Nike in 2017, and allows the Nike Town store to sell Husker merchandise, would that create a lot of competition in their own "Huskers Authentic" store? I guess more merchandise sold is the main thing, and NU could still sell non-Nike Husker gear in the Huskers Authentic store, along with Nike Husker gear. I'm just kinda rambling on here. I think it's too early to say that NU moving to Nike is a slam-dunk at this point. Quote Link to comment

I can't imagine that Adidas is too happy about NikeTown being put next to campus and it might scare away UA....or maybe not. Quote Link to comment

Kiyoat Husker
I know Nike is popular. And UA is up and coming, but part of me likes being different. Look at what Michigan did with Jordan. Isn't there a 4rth option out there that the players would think is cool? Quote Link to comment
