Dansker
Riley has never coached a team that has beaten 2 top-10 opponents in one season 1999 - the last time Nebraska defeated two top-10 opponents in one season, same year Nebraska last won a conference title Here's hoping we continue a positive trend with this huge opportunity just around the corner, get to a bowl and end this season on a positive note! 2 Quote Link to comment

HuskermanMike
We need to spoil the Iowans or Iowegians or whatever they are called and get a huge win over a top 5 team. Both teams have a lot to play for in this game I think we can pull out this win if we contain Bethard and run the ball like we have the last few weeks. With an off week and time to prepare we should be able to come out on top. Also we might want to evaluate where Iowa is at after this game. Quote Link to comment
Kiyoat Husker
Also, Nebraska has never beaten two top ten teams in a season as an unranked team. TO did it once. The Bobfather did it once. It happened a few times in the 50's, but never twice in a season. Quote Link to comment

MichiganDad3
Here is TO's record against AP top 10 teams. The ranking is as of the game date. It would be interesting to see the results against teams ranked in the top 10 at the end of the season. Year - Top 10 teams played - Wins against top 10 teams. 1972 - 1 - 0 1973 - 2 - 1 1974 - 1 - 0 1975 - 2 - 0 1976 - 1 - 1 1977 - 3 - 2 1978 - 3 - 1 1979 - 2 - 0 1980 - 1 - 0 1981 - 2 - 0 1982 - 1 - 0 1983 - 2 - 1 1984 - 3 - 2 1985 - 3 - 1 1986 - 2 - 1 1987 - 3 - 1 1988 - 4 - 2 1989 - 2 - 0 1990 - 2 - 0 1991 - 2 - 0 1992 - 3 - 1 1993 - 1 - 0 1994 - 2 - 2 1995 - 3 - 3 1996 - 2 - 2 1997 - 2 - 2 2 Quote Link to comment
