Hedley Lamarr
So has he decommitted yet? What's he waiting for if he's not going to sign with Nebraska? From experience I will tell you these writers will take quotes out of context to make it look peachy for their home team. Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Set to visit Louisville Jan. 13 and Nebraska on Jan 20.This is good news. Although Louisville will be more appealing that Maryland we should blow both out of the water. Quote Link to comment

HuskerExpat
Set to visit Louisville Jan. 13 and Nebraska on Jan 20. If he is visiting Louisville in January this says something considering Riley's new rule this year that commits can't visit other schools during the month of January. I guess that either means he doesn't intend to sign with Nebraska or the coaches have told him that he doesn't have a guaranteed spot and that's why he is looking around but keeping Nebraska in the picture. Riley's new rule? Riley doesn't want recruits taking visits in the month of January. They can look around or take visits up until then. Just tried to be honest with them about how it puts the staff in a precarious position because if they flip that late in the game, they have few options to replace said player. Someone might have a better quote out there though. Quote Link to comment
Cdog923
I seem to remember us cooling on a quarterback a few years back because he was raw and a project...funny he won the heisman yesterday 3 Quote Link to comment
GBRFAN
Wonder if coaches cooled on him and are looking for someone who can make a more immediate impact?Coach JP made an in home visit not long ago, I doubt we cooled on him that hard Only speculation here - maybe JP made a visit to say we are looking different directions or you need to schedule a visit or we will treat your commit as a non commit. Either way this class will be interesting to see how it finishes. There would be no reason to make a visit to tell a kid that.Agreed. Kind of a waste of both time and funds. That's more of a phone call. Unless he was in the area to visit other prospects. It would still be a waste of time and funds That's your opinion - and since neither of us know all the facts about their past relationship and conversations we will never know. Actually I know that for a fact nomatter who else he visited down their it would be a waste of both time and money to travel to his home take pictures etc and tell him we dont want him. That isnt an opinion it is 100% accurate that that would take both time and money and would be a waste of each. It is actually an opinion. You don't know the relationship. Maybe the staff wants to look another direction but still keep him as a plan B - if both parties agree. This would be something that NU may choose to do in person. You may think it is a waste and in your mind you are right - still an opinion thou. Quote Link to comment

I replied to the following Only speculation here - maybe JP made a visit to say we are looking different directions or you need to schedule a visit or we will treat your commit as a non commit. Either way this class will be interesting to see how it finishes. I said that that would be a waste of time and funds. That isnt disputable. Luckily it came out that he is still a husker commit and is visiting us at the end of january. So your speculation or opinion as you like to call it was not accurate. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
The decommitment leaves Nebraska with just one defensive lineman in the class, Guy Thomas, who recently told 247Sports that he did not intend to sign with the Huskers. Thomas also took a visit to Maryland this past week. 247 Quote Link to comment
