StPaulHusker
This is just another shining example of why they need to go to a true offer/acceptance scheme in CFB recruiting. It's absurd that they haven't yet.And maybe calling it something other than a scheme would be a good start! Tactic? 1 Quote Link to comment

Redux
If pissing off Gebbia is what it takes to get TL, I think we should thank him for his consideration and find another WR. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
I don't know if this is still the case, but a couple years ago, I remember listening to a podcast that talked about the culture of college football recruiting versus almost every other sport. It was specifically comparing basketball and football, and how in football, committing to a school really doesn't mean much. Coaches will maintain connections and still try to swipe a recruit if they can. Basketball, on the other hand, doesn't really have to deal with this. You'll see recruits decommit and change schools; but it's not very common, and it's looked down upon, to try and heavily recruit players who are committed. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Let's hope Moorehead never takes a different coaching job. Still surprised the tweets are up, Sumlin is on the hot seat and I'm sure he doesn't want extra heat around the program. 1 Quote Link to comment

It's absurd that they haven't yet. This is more of an example of a coach being a complete dipsh*t. It's both. Recruiting would "slow down" a lot if they went to a traditional/standard offer and acceptance scheme/paradigm/approach/structure. It's a bit counterintuitive, but that's what would actually happen. The "non-committable offer" is one of the worst things in CFB recruiting. Quote Link to comment

ADS
TAMI fans tweeting his 16 year old sister and calling her names is just about the saddest thing I think we've ever seen. Leave it to a school like that. 1 Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
It also continues to show the ever-growing problem of the marriage between social media and recruiting. Grown men are a bit too concerned what 16-18 year olds want to do. Quote Link to comment
