The Republican Utopia

Recommended Posts

Just a little appetizer for what's to come when the Republicans take control and implement their authoritarian fever dream.

Teachers required to rat out trans kids now, then it'll be gay kids, then kids in interracial relationships, then adults that watched donkey porn, then gay porn, then straight porn, then the abolishment of gay marriage, then straight adults living together out of wedlock, then prosecuting married couples for using contraceptives, then rat out any friend who voted against the Dear Leader, then anyone who joked about the Dear Leader.   It's a slippery slope the Party of individual freedom is embarking on.

Who's first in the gulag?  Rupall, Fauci, Cheney, Pelosi, Pence, or Kinzinger?  Should we have a poll on who's going in first from Huskerboard?

Whatever happened to smaller government that stays out of our lives?

Oh, that's right....that's only when you don't agree with something.

With your comment, are you telling us that you believe parents should be allowed to force/cohere/allow minors into sex change  operations??????  To go against biological science because the parent didn’t get the gender they wanted at birth many times!!!!

my opinion is good for Abbott because it’s bat s#!t f#&%ing crazy to allow an under 18 ye old go through any of that.  No possible f#&%ing way they have the developed mental/emotional capability to go through that irrational process.  Good lord it’s amazing people are actually for allowing that.

Can we make nominations:D:o

I get your point. It is a slipper slope and the GOP, the party of family values, individual freedom, law and order,  anti-communism/despot, God and Country, and Moral Majorities fell down that slope years ago.  There is nothing recognizable about it any longer.  Man we need a new party in the worst way.

This statement here betrays that you don't understand the perspective of those you are talking about.

None of us "want" a gender at birth. We are born who we are and develop more into that person as we get older and wiser. For a lot of us that journey is more fraught than others. Presumably some of us feel our bodies don't correspond to who we truly are. No doubt you've sustained an injury or an illness and thought to yourself "Boy, I sure don't feel like 'regular' me right now."

Now imagine feeling that way ALL the time.

My goodness, what a crass lack of empathy you've demonstrated there.

Do you literally not read a post before you reply to it?

Whacked out dips#!t parents push this trans nonsense on their kids (in some cases less than 5 years old) because they are upset the birth of their child wasn’t the gender they wanted.   Did I ever say people want to pick their own gender at birth?

amazingly someone here compares not feeling well to parents fundamentally changing their kids body by taking drugs to stop puberty so eventually they can mentally abuse those kids long enough to make them want to have their  d!(k chopped off and artificial vag made.  You know, kinda like having the flu for a few days.  :thumbs

The GOP (at least in Texas but I suspect elsewhere) has officially become the Taliban.

I don't understand transgenderism or the gay life style etc, but these are human beings, citizens equally worthy of respect, protection under the law and not abused by the law.  I would think the Gov of Texas, one of the largest states in the country, has better things to do than being the secret policy Gestapo commissioner.   Throwing red meat to the alt right crowd.  Shameful.  No Deplorable.

Paraphrasing a popular quote:

They came for the trans...  and I did nothing

They came for the gay  ...  and I did nothing

Etc

They came for me and there was no one left to help me.

The current GOP is turning me into a liberal :ahhhhhhhh  But that is ok if it is in regards to individual rights and freedoms.

So, a kid in high school starts considering if they are trans and the solution is to report the parents to the government and the government steps in and investigates.

yeah….this is going to turn out well.

Once again, Republicans are all for government staying the duck out of their lives….oh, unless they disagree with something.

The government ticks everything up acvording yo them, but let’s have them investigate teenagers sexuality.

What’s shameful is allowing these parents to do this to their kids.  I can’t for the life of me understand why you think this is ok.

I was thinking about what parents are doing. I wouldn't want parents to force a change on a child if that is indeed what was happening.  I'm talking about trans and gay in general.

Once again you won’t actually answer a legitimate question that’s asked of you.

You sure assume a lot about the motivations of people and families you don't know at all.

Even if we set aside the merits of either of our arguments at the moment, think about the mechanics of how this directive is supposed to be executed. A governor is compelling various private citizens, many of whom are not actually government employees, to report information on other citizens to the government.

Isn't that the kind of thing conservatives should theoretically be completely against?

I mean it's not like government intrusion into private medical decisions is any new fascination for them. But it's clear there are competing tenets here and they're choosing a government forcing religion on people rather than promoting smaller government and personal freedom.
