Republicans tonight nominated the Trumpist candidate for governor in Massachusetts rather than the moderate businessman candidate much more similar to outgoing R governor Charlie Baker.

 

After already doing the same thing in Maryland, choosing the Trumpy candidate in a stark turn away from Larry Hogan.

 

They did the same thing in Illinois, although they did so to challenge the incumbent D governor.

 

And in Arizona. And Pennsylvania. And Wisconsin. And Michigan.

 

For a party whose future some argue DOESN'T revolve around Trumpism, they sure keep choosing a bunch of Trumpy candidates.
