knapplc
Just a quick reminder of where we stand with Mueller's investigation and a comparison to other investigations in recent history. 1 Link to comment

The sanctions were lifted on an Aluminum company which Deripaska formally had a controlling interest in. Now why would we slap tariffs on Canadian and Mexican Aluminum, but lift sanctions on a Russian Oligarch's "former" aluminum company??? Quote Most of the sanctions went into effect, including against Mr. Deripaska personally. But their implementation was repeatedly delayed against Mr. Deripaska’s giant aluminum company, Rusal, as well as two linked firms, including EN+, the holding company that owned much of Rusal. The companies financed a sophisticated legal and lobbying campaign arguing that the sanctions would disrupt the aluminum market and damage companies in the United States and allied countries. 1 1 Link to comment
Moiraine
Maybe this is a new form of corruptness. Everyone knows it's happening but if enough of the people don't care because they're distracted, you just get away with it. 1 Link to comment

Its blindingly obvious Trump is under some kind of Russian influence. How much more evidence need we compile? If more people cared about this issue I think the heat would be too much to bear at this point. Imagine if this were Obama.... 2 Link to comment
ZRod
Hmm... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2018/03/01/foreign-suppliers-are-flooding-the-u-s-aluminum-market/?utm_term=.8a34c73af586 Quote Canada, a close ally, is the top country the United States imports aluminum from by a wide margin. Russia is No. 2 and China is fourth. Trump talks often about wanting to go after China, but the proposed tariff or quota would harm Canada and Europe, too Link to comment
Moiraine
This is just a letter someone wrote. Heard this theory the other day though. That Trump’s insane obsession with the wall is because the Russians could launder their money through the contractors. https://www.sltrib.com/opinion/letters/2019/01/19/letter-who-will-profit/ 2 Link to comment

Trump and family are a bit to entangled and friendly wt all of these Russians. Mueller can't get done wt his report fast enought. Link to comment
