Thats the crappy part about it all. People desperately want honesty but honesty doesn't win elections.

Yup.  Sound bites.  He has truly dumed down America (we were well on our way but this illiterate man sped it up)

Our electorate is too lazy and dumb to listen or research and seek to inderstand on ther own. Its really so sad.

^ yea but ...

The GOP will get on message about how Trump gave a cut and she will raise.  Fact and stats don't matter to the simple folks that just take action based on how many times they hear someone say something on tv.

They will do that no matter what. They called Obama a “socialist”. They will call anyone who wins the nomination a socialist. When Trump endorses a republican candidate he tweets his opponent wants open borders, is not tough on crime and wants to raise your taxes. He says it every time. Dems need to stop doing things based on what republicans do and start fighting for their positions. Take a page from AOC since Warren wants her endorsement so badly.

You watch the Corey Lewandowski stuff yesterday? Thats what happens when you are scared of the other party. They do what they want and you back down. CL should have been held in contempt and anyone with a spine would have had him arrested as soon as he invoked the BS memo Trump sent him. Dems are ruining this country just as much as GOP because they allow them to do it without repercussion.

I'm going to post this here as well as the Healthcare thread.  If you're not aware of Ady Barkan's activities - he's really an amazing Patriot.  Before and even ore so after his ALS diagnosis.  You may have seen him confronting Jeff Flake on an airplane last year in a video that went viral right before the famous John McCain vote, but he's done some incredible things to move the discussion on healthcare in the US forward.

These videos are 9-10 mins long and the only one who hasn't honored the request to sit with him yet is Biden, so it's a good overview of their policy views and plans.

I think it was a little more calculated than that - they had to keep him there long enough for the final hour, which allowed for counsel to question him (each party for 30 mins).  That's when they got him on the record admitting to various things, including that he was offered a pardon by Trump.

These threads from Ted Lieu and Teri Kanefield also make some points - I don't like how it's rolling, but I'm trying to remember that these folks know the system and are playing a long game.  It would have satisfied me greatly to see his smug a$$ hauled off in handcuffs, it also would have given the GOP (and CL who is potentially running for office in NH) ammunition.  Instead Dems got the admissions of guilt, set the agenda for "immunity" and have it tucked away.

It gave me GREAT hope to see Norm Eisen behind the bench counseling Nadler and the group.

I'm telling you guys, Trump is wasting his time trying to dig up dirt on Biden.  Warren is going to be the nominee.

Because he thinks he can.  He also firmly believes that he can easily beat Warren by simply standing on stage calling her "Pocahontas".

I'm pretty sure there is one hell of a lot of America that is sick and tired of his name calling and third grade act.

tbh I think Trump is a lot smarter than this. Smart enough to know that this is what he wants you and me and us to think about him. Hard to take an opponent seriously when you're convinced they're a simple moron.

Some (Limbaugh) are speculating that Pelosi chose the "impeachment proceedings" angle now on the Ukraine deal, after putting it off for so long even when other seemingly impeachable violations had occurred, because Biden is still polling well, and Warren needed some help to get a boost past him...and there is bound to be some dirty laundry aired on Joe and his son because of this
