teachercd
Purdue, Illinois or Minnesota. For me it is now Purdue. We already know how tough they play NU and this game will be on the road (maybe for a sleepy 11am kickoff, not sure, I didn't check) with a coach that seems to really know offense. 2 Quote Link to comment
RedDenver
Purdue and it's not even close. I think Illinois and Minny will struggle to make a bowl game. 1 Quote Link to comment
Caliborn72
Really hate that short week against Illinois but Purdue is definitely more scary. Only 2 games but Blough is in a real offense finally and it's showing. Passing efficiency rating up from 119 to 194. 74% passing, 10.5 Y/A. There's reason to be hopeful that Jones is back by then because we are going to need him. I'm not all that worried about Minnesota as of now. Quote Link to comment
Whistlepig
if we take 2 out of those 3 I'd be pleasantly surprised looking at the schedule and taking in to account the first 2 games I'd say we're looking at a 5-7 maybe 6-6 season. Quote Link to comment
Scarlet Overkill
Times have sure changed. I never thought there'd be a day when I said i was worried about playing Purdue. But, yep, they'll scare a few folks this year, if not win outright. 2 Quote Link to comment

Redux
Nome of them worry me. Neither do Wiscy, NW or Iowa. 1 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
My two cents...if NU gets beat by OSU, PSU, Iowa, Wisconsin AND gets beat by 2/3 teams listed above...that will be the end of the Riley era. 1 Quote Link to comment

So if they lose 7 games? No coach would survive a second 5-7 season. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, if they lose 7 I think that SE is gone and Riley would be gone. I also think that these 3 games are huge games now. 1 Quote Link to comment
spurs1990
They better win all three. I'll stick with Purdue. Minnesota had a blow out win yesterday but Oregon State looks absolutely horrific so far this year so that hardly counts as a P5 road win. I'd be pushing Purdue above Northwestern as far as level of difficulty at this point. Fan base probably freaks out, rightfully so, if we lose one of those. Really can't afford to do it. If they slip up against 1 of those, they better darn well beat both Wiscy and Iowa. Quote Link to comment
Sker fer life
Purdue, they seem to Have a little something going on. Quote Link to comment
BoNeyard
Minnesota. PJ Fleck is rowing that boat and they seem to get more confident with themselves each week. Whether or not that confidence is justified, at the very least they are playing with confidence and they believe in themselves. That is scary. 1 Quote Link to comment
olddominionhusker
Agree prob Purdue. But honestly, I look at the schedule and don't see a single game we can confidently mark as a win. With this defense every team that has a passing attack can beat us. Quote Link to comment
