Bill Moos' Purge of Nebraska football. 

 

Trent Bray is the only staff member being retained. This leaves everything open for a brand new staff to come in. This year's recruiting class has to be salvaged, bottom line regardless of how much time there is left in the recruiting season. Expect this class to have more JUCO's than we've seen the past 3 years.

Bray maked perfect sense as the point man for the next week or so. Highly respected, will likely be a coordinator next year somewhere, has coached these players for 3 years and has some history with them.

 

They may not have got it done on the field, but these coaches were professionals through and through. A classs act in victory and defeat. We as Husker fans should really appreciate that this time around.

...It’s a complete enigma wrapped in a riddle to me how in the world Mike Riley, having Mr Bear Bryant as a coach, didn’t pick up on how a program is built and sustained..how did he go from playing under that hard man...and then once a coach himself,  gravitates to finesse, timid, no structure and accountability atmosphere he certainly believes in..? Basketball on football field type mindset..2nd or 3rd and 8...call up a 4 yard pass.! That mindset/paradigm to the game just kills me..
