We all knew that we would be winless after the Michigan game? We all knew that we would have this inept of offensive line play? We all knew that calling our special teams a dumpster fire would be an insult to dumpster fires? 1 Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Really telling interview from Michigan Defensive LIneman Chase Winovich. They saw Nebraska quit. Quote Link to comment

That probably frustrates me more than anything bc I think they can control that. This really bothers me. ST are worse than when 450 was in charge. TO won many games because of ST. Frost needs to get some advice from TO. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
I think the main problem with our OL is quickness. The DL is by them before they move their feet. I would rather see smaller quicker lineman than behemoths that can't move. Quote Link to comment

I think Frost bought into his own hype. probably. he is young, had a great season in his second year, was hailed by the entire fan base as the program's savior before he even coached a game, and might have thought everything he touches turns to gold. This current experience is probably more educational then it is for his players. will be interesting to see how it plays out. a lot of drama-rama, that's for sure. Quote Link to comment

But it's also not shocking to anyone who's watched the last decade of Husker football. This culture is well-entrenched and it's not surprising it's taken more than three games to root out. 2 Quote Link to comment

Rent a bus to Corvallis for the rest. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerNation1
1. Frost has been over-hyped by all fans (me included) and we are going to have to be patient and see how we look at this time next year. He's been a head coach for 2 seasons and had one amazing undefeated winning season. Many of us will need to re-calibrate our expectations for what were hoping to see in Year 1 and likely in Year 2. 2. The O-Line has been week for many years (even before Riley) and this is the heart of where Nebraska must focus to become competitive again. The inability to move the ball and keep the offense on the field translates into a tired defense from being on the field way too long. 3. Special teams continues to be a joke and I would expect changes in player personnel and potentially which assistant owns ST for the rest of the year. The group is failing at football 101. 4. Nebraska needs an identity it can rally around. At this point all phases of the game are incohesive and nobody is doing anything well. If the team can have at least one unit excelling that will gradually help build up confidence for the rest of the team. Quote Link to comment
In the Deed the Glory
I learned that of all the things Nebraska has been missing over the years (talent, coaching, speed, strength, skill, work ethic) the most important piece we lost was our culture. And even Scott Frost can't flip 20 years of bad culture in 9 months. 1 Quote Link to comment

Whistlepig
I learned the Irish have a pretty good offense because Michigan's defense is good and fast- I also learned that Michigan likes to use a lead blocker, weakside runs with pulling guards and centers, which absolutely confused and blew up our front 7 Quote Link to comment
cheekygeek
I learned that there is a place for fullbacks on Big 10 rosters. 1 Quote Link to comment
