admo
Go make that money! Dominate the competition! Then go pro! It's really simple and smart if you think about it. 1 Quote Link to comment
MyBloodIsRed16
I think it's funny he mentions greats like Jerry Rice and Walter Payton. I don't think either one of those guys were the number one recruit coming out and on top of it getting 1 mil in NIL bonus. They were great because of the moon sized chip on their shoulder. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I think it was probably trending this way already. But this mornings news might have kicked the door down. Quote Link to comment

So, did Nebraska make a mistake asking boosters to donate to $150,000,000 facilities project instead of paying players a million? 3 Quote Link to comment

I would say "mistake" is probably too strong. I think the functionality of the new facility will still be a big draw. But going forward, I think you could make a pretty strong case to at least split that equally. 1 Quote Link to comment

True, since I think the fund raising and planning started before NIL was a thing. Quote Link to comment

Could accept an appearance fee. Quote Link to comment

The USGA has relaxed their rules to fit with NIL, however they can't receive prize money (can receive up to $750 in shop credit/gift certificate), nor can they make any money giving golf lessons, but they can receive money for being in advertisements, autographs etc. 1 Quote Link to comment
