TGHusker
Ok, so these GOP bright lights want to establish a 'no vote' cooling off period for people who transfer from a blue state to a red state. I wonder if they would suggest the same for a voter moving from a red state to a blue state - don't think so. 1. So in other words you don't want your red dominated state to be infused with new ideas, new voters so that you can maintain your dominance in that state. 2. Only your ideas are allowed but they are so weak that they cannot withstand the pressure of being placed in an open marketplace of ideas. 3. Variety of ideas may remove your political clout and your stranglehold on the political mechanics of the red state 4 Individual chose becomes limited to the party ideas 5. Everybody being treated as equal & having equal representation should only be based on political party - kind of a new Dred Scott ruling 6. Totalitarianism is now secured Seems like we have seen this played out before - someplace - Actually in many places around the world. It is the thought pattern of tyrants, totalitarianism, and dictators which we have fought since our country's founding. With this kind of thinking as shown in the tweets below, the GOP will set itself against democracy and specifically our form of representative democracy. The future of the GOP indeed. Let's not make it the future of the USA. 1 Link to comment
NM11046
Yeah, on this one I might agree with Marge. Would love to see how long it lasts however, once the tax dollars from those big bad blue states are taken away from the states who depend on them: West Virginia - 89% dependent Missisipi - 82.5% dependent Alaska - 81.1% dependent Montana - 62% dependent Kentucky - 54.5% dependent Alabama - 53.8% dependent 1 1 Link to comment
