floridacorn
Nelson always struck me as a stiff, try hard type. But, he looked explosive, and fluid in drills. Really interested in seeing him in that first game now. Quote Link to comment

Don't expect greatness this season, but if they can at least get the pass rush up to 'decent' level, that would make the defense as a whole a lot better. 1 Quote Link to comment

Too often we expect recruits to come in and set the world on fire as freshmen. We're going to be a lot better off as Frost sticks to the plan of redshirting as many as possible. Nelson didn't redshirt, but it shows the difference of being in the program 2, 3 or 4 years. Frost had to flip the roster, so the process of "get old and stay old" takes a while. Even going into year 4, we're not that "old" yet 5 1 2 Quote Link to comment

I am I
I always thought Nelson was a great example of “make a mistake but make it going 100mph” once his brain catches up to his body, hopefully this year, we’ll see fewer mistakes but still going 100mph. He’s not Van den Bosch or Kelsay type level, but he friggin plays like it. 2 Quote Link to comment

Very possible. But we’re also probably one injury away from moving him back inside. /knocks feverishly on wood… Quote Link to comment

admo
This is the group that can make all the difference in the run prevent/short pass prevent. They got to get aggressive near the LOS - point of attack. 1 Quote Link to comment
