There will not be a big hire, just make the right hire. The CFB world is passing us by. We are not even like a bad Power 5 program now. Are you being serious or sarcastic, because I can't pick many group of 5 programs that can stand up against our schedule, show up every single Saturday and put play all of these Top 10 or Top 25 opponents week in and week out and be in position to win EVERY game. I am not mad anymore. Just disappointed. I still love the Huskers, just hate losing. I just get get owly during ANOTHER bowl season of no Huskers. But I still appreciate your blind optimism. I will say this for the hundredth time. I hope HCSF turns it around next year. It is easiet that way. I just feel it will be the same. In respect to the hard schedule? Schools that want to win, and more importantly demand winning, are spending 10’s of millions on coaches. Getting them in place to recruit and exploit the transfer portal. We appear to have not named on actual hire. The whole, they might still be coaching is BS. Kelly might have ND in the CFP, Napier is in the conference championship ,other guys coaching in bowls. Color me not impressed with our sh1t show. Throw money at Herman or Chadwell. Or start brushing up on googling guys we’ve never heard of. And please no Helfrich or Harrell. I am more concerned with what caliber of assistants we can really expect to draw when the head coach is on a prove-it 1 year contract. Probably not the best situation to recruit under, and even less attractive given you are likely to be looking for another job a year from now. You could argue that a new HC at this point would be a more stable direction, and perhaps less chaotic. 1 Quote Link to comment
