Malth
We're down by over 4 million votes. I dont know what time it ends, but if it's 12 hours from now, we need almost 350,000 votes per hour just to catch up with their current amount of votes. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt316
Lets see your bot no, no one will be getting that. Hope everyone has had a great 4th of July! About that above post where I was kinda snooty, well, I changed my mind. I assume a few of you have a windows PC. It's time to rock the vote. The more people that run it, the more votes we put in. So here it is... The constructicon bot. It is pretty unremarkable in its speed as a lone program, but when you have 20+ of them working on one machine they form something somewhat remarkable. (~100k+ votes an hour if you max them out.) Simply download, unzip, and click the FormDevastator.bat file to start 10 at a time, or click the constructicon.exe to add single instances. Then just let them do their thing, till tomorrow around noon. The more computers running it the better shot we have to catch up in ~15 hours. Have fun, and please read the README.txt before asking questions. *Please note this release of the bot will be useless as of tomorrow at noon-ish, so no sense in running it beyond when the new brackets go up as they won't vote for anything but this single poll. I've got 250 of them working. Hopefully it does something. Quote Link to comment

We won't catch up, their bots are in it again... although they are losing ground, just too slowly. If I hadn't stopped we'd be in it, or if we had 10 linux users we would be (my linux machine just plugs votes along while my windows box is SLOW AS F*** and it is the better computer because I play PC games, not xbox.) Still though who knows, I'd rather press the issue some then just lay back and take it, even if its just to make it not so much a blowout, which is why I compiled it for windows in the first place. Somewhere around 20 is probably the max on windows. My linux box can handle 100 or so, windows box is slow with like 10-20. but we did just break out of the outer reaches and started moving things a bit more. So maybe i'm wrong, or maybe one of their bots just gave out. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
Funny how we pride ourselves on our ability to win internet polls but when we finally lose we no longer care. Your contrarian shtick is played out homie. What? A while back I posted something that was against the general consensus of whatever the thread was (I have no idea). Apparently I'm usually pretty consistent in taking stances opposite of the majority, and The Dude called me out for doing it intentionally, Rocketsocks just wanted to reiterate that he is tired of my posts that aren't in agreement. Or something. The post in question here isn't really contrarian, unfortunately; it's near fact based on substantial common sense and evidence. There's a reason that I used 'we' instead of 'you' in this situation, however, because I'm the same way. I'll vote for hours on these things but if we don't pull it out I'll pretend like I didn't waste any time. Sometimes, you have to be able to laugh at yourself. Quote Link to comment

Atbone95
We're getting there! 59-41 Michigan. Someone should write a script for a Mac... Quote Link to comment
Malth
We've only closed the gap by a million in the past like 12 hours. We're still down by almost 3 million. The percentage just looks better because there's been over 8 million votes total in that time period. Quote Link to comment
iruletheskool
probably not going to help much, but i opened 20 on 2 computers.. we only have an hour left tho, correct? Quote Link to comment
95huskers
I want to see the reaction to this vote live on tv. haha 19M votes, lmao Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I think it's a fait accompli that Michigan wins this. That doesn't mean that the bots have to die, however. Presuming Michigan wins, rework the bots so they vote for Michigan in the next round, and run them 24/7. Put 50 million votes on this thing, put 100 million on it, so ESPN has to acknowledge that their stupid contest is so easily hackable that it's worthless. Quote Link to comment
