Play calling has been pure sh#t on both sides of the ball. No deep safeties and 100 zone reads.... this isn't f'ing NCAA 13 you have mix up he okay calling.

I'm not overly pissed right now, I was last week and we seen what happened there. Let's see how we adjust, give Taylor a chance to calm down and go from there. We have the better players.................we know that.

It's halftime. We're not quite at meltdown mode yet--we get the ball back. If Martinez can handle the effing rock we might still have ourselves a ballgame.

Calm down Huskers. You might need a Weardown Thread for when anOSU's D collapses in the 4th quarter.

I see what you did there.

Meh. We weren't even favored coming into this game. There should be little to no reason for a meltdown if we lose. The UCLA loss a meltdown was expected, although it was a little over-the-top. But we knew this game would be an uphill battle.

It's how we lose that is disappointing. Penalties, penalties, Martinez giving the other team the ball. Defense standing around scratching themselves while Ohio State gets ready to run another play....

i don't get it. with everything these kids are given, including a free education, when they step on the UNL campus, you'd think we'd see a better result.

Can we get a full four quarters of focus!

4? Hell id settle for two at this point. There is no killer instinct on this team. Anytime we get something going we f#*k it up. Last week 4th quarter and this week 1st. Hopefully we come out on fire and score with a bang. If not this game may be over. Unless we see braxton go down again

We need better pass plays for Taylor, as opposed of him throwing in traffic!!!

I like how when Taylor fu#*$ up we always blame Beck. You're right, he needs to design plays so our wide receivers are wide open. It's just that easy.

Screens, swing passes, spread thrm out then pound them. Our passing needs some variety, too predictable

Very puzzled about your defense. It seemed to work great in the Big12 which is indisputably better at offense than the b1g. Maybe you need to be more aggressive against run based offenses.

We lost all of our athletes in the front 7, haven't recruited well and it shows now. It's about 60% talent, 40% execution (per Pelini : )

I hear you, I am just saying suited to his strengths.

Send em all, make him beat us with quick passes. Stop letting him disect us and make decisions. That is why we get killed by mobile qbs. We give them all day to find running lanes or open recievers. Force the issue, hit them on every play. Defend something!

I never expected to win this game, unfortunately. Going 1-1 against the two best teams in the other division is acceptable. Hate giving up this many points, though. It's embarrassing.

Sorry, I'm not really into the whole "meltdown" thing. I'm disappointed, but my life isn't ruined by a loss like this.

His hire looked great in 2007, am I right? But how many times do you give the keys to the BMW to a first time driver? Tom has taken chances on first time/on-the-fly coaches ala Solich/Pelini/Erstad but those gambles have rarely paid off. Tom is a legend but maybe it is for the best Eichorst has stepped in. Bo's program is truely on display this year. How do my sour grapes taste?

Bill Callahan era all over again. We are not coached well! We do not have the talent and speed. And, we do not do the two most important fundamentals in football, block and tackle. Can't do those and you cannot win. Total embarrassment. Pelini needs to get some talent and get some coaches who can coach the talent. Period!

Out-coached is as over-used a term as "adjustments" that I alluded to in a thread yesterday. When we win great. When we lose, we're out coached. BS. I am so sick of hearing that. And this mobile qb thing THAT GIVES EVERYONE FITS IN THE ENTIRE NATION is another overrated idea. But the talent and speed you are right on about. That is something that is just the way it is. We played with these guys for the most part, but remember, Braxton Miller does this to everyone. He is the sole reason Urban came there, to win a title with Braxton, fake some heart problems, and decide to spend time with family again. Cudos to him. But I wont say we were totally outcoached. We gave Ohio St a lot tonight. 21 points to be exact.

What is it you are smoking? Take off your red colored glasses. Six minutes left in the 4th and we are down 25 points and we have played with them? Point out the talent to me! Where are the players with the speed to keep up with O State? Where is the play of the offensive line? Where is the play of the defensive line, line backers and D backs? Give me a break.

I'm not sure there is anyone better on the roster, but every year there are 3 or 4 games where Martinez implodes. The D is the worst pelini has had, so there is no room this year for stupid throws. I think this will be the year where the Pelini era takes a downhill turn. Nebraska will only win 8 games this year, and he will be on the hot seat next year. I don't see how the defense gets better next year with Compton, Stafford, Martin, Smith, and Stein all leaving. Another 8 win year after this year, and he could be ousted by the new A.D.

We all thought Pelini was a defensive genious, but it is not too hard when your D is full of NFL talent.
